The negative effect on the poor from climate change are the insane renewable energy programs that pay the weathier of us to install nonsense, highly subsidized solar cells and wind turbines and then charge double for the feedback power going back to the power companies. The power companies then recharge these costs back on their regular customers, including those who can’t afford renewables. Here in Australia we are seeing our regular billing rates climb monthly. The MSM blames the power companies because they (the MSM) aren’t bright enough to see the problems with the renewable programs.
From the warming Greenpeace activist article: “Those comments galvanized her to continue speaking to Americans, and in April she visited universities in nine states, including U.C. Berkeley. She told audiences of:
Waves from sea surges now breaking in front of homes and on roadways;
More frequent and more powerful typhoons that have destroyed or damaged many island buildings and scoured away beaches;”
I’ll stop with her first two claims as it is clear narrative trumps fact for “rent seekers” looking to cash in on climate mania. At least New Yorkers weren’t fooled by this goofy twit, but I bet she had them in tears at Berkeley. lol

The biggest threat to the poor is so-called AGW mitigation.
Global warming won’t threaten Al Gore or James Cameron. That’s for sure!
Well of course the effects vary widely between rich and poor countries…
….the rich countries are supposed to pay the poor countries
