War Propaganda
(Chicago Tribune Press Service)
DAYTON, Ohlo, July 8—Orville Wright, co-inventor of the airplane, said Tuesday that he believes the flying saucer craze is “propaganda started by the government support the current state department campaign to get us into another war”“It is more propaganda for war, to stir up the people and excite them to believe a foreign power has designs on this nation,” said the 75+ year-old scientist,
Wright said he does not believe there is any scientific basis for the “saucers.” “You can get people to say anything,” he commented. “The American people have reached a pretty low level to be taken in by sheer propaganda.”

Re Roswell.
I have always wondered – If, as claimed, it was only a common weather balloon, then why did they quickly collect the evidence and send it to FT Worth? And, what happened to the actual balloon envelope?
I have heard that it may have consisted of sensors designed to detect soviet nuclear tests, but, even if so, why the haste?
From what I have read and seen it is an established fact, that a shipment was made to Wright Patterson, AFB from Roswell right after the incident. Wright Patterson was at the time the HQ for testing of all aircraft for the USAF and HQ of the USAF experimental test pilot school at the time.
To be clear it was the same for the USAAF before it became the USAF Sept 18, 1947.
