By Andrew FreedmanMay 11, 2011What Does Climate Change Have to Do With the Flooding?
Climate change cannot be blamed for causing the flooding, but scientists have detected large-scale trends indicating that extreme precipitation events are becoming more likely as temperatures warm in response to increasing amounts of greenhouse gases in the air. This means that heavy rainfall events are more frequent than they used to be, in part because a warmer atmosphere holds more moisture that can be wrung out by storm systems.
Scientists are working to detect the “fingerprint” of climate change in specific extreme weather events, and their methods are still in their infancy. It will take many months for studies to be completed on whether climate change may have made April’s heavy rains more likely. For now, though, we can look at studies that have already been completed that offer some clues about the relationship between climate change and heavy precipitation events.
That is the equivalent of racist claims from the 1960s. We used to hear this all the time : “We can’t say for sure that a colored person committed this crime, but as more colored people move into the neighborhood, we expect crimes of this type to increase.”
Either they have evidence or they don’t. This type of reporting is intended to mislead and is fraudulent.
Expectations are not a cause of weather.
Since all they can do is predict trends, by following current trends…
…expectations is all they got LOL
BTW, that’s one of the best analogies I’ve ever seen.
It’s perfect…………..
Here is the trend of floods or lack thereof. 😉
More terrible trends
It is important to never back you climate claims with upto date, peer reviewed research.
O/T, but I just saw it’s 41 degrees and raining in Denver right now.
If it weren’t for Hansen making the world warmer, it would probably be snowing (:-
This year reminds me of 1995. Dry winter followed by a very cold, very wet spring. In 1995 it stayed cold until after July 4.
“Scientists are working to detect the “fingerprint” of climate change”
What they will discover are the finger prints of Hansen, Mann, Jones, Briffa, Wahl, et. al. fabricating the data using statistical and other methods to create “mann caused climate change” of epic doomsday proportions with digital tree ring entrails, digital toy crystal balls, and eco-green-terrorist-anti-life political agendas.
OT
USA Today poll, taken May 5-8, one week after posting of birth certificate online:
47% believe the president was “definitely” born in the United States……
18% say he “probably” was born here……
8% say probably was born elsewhere…….
5% say he definitely was born elsewhere…….
20% say they don’t know enough to say…….
———————————————–
Only 47% of Americans “definitely” believe the birth certificate. More than half of Americans fall under other categories.

I think it’s a serious situation for Barrack Obama that this many people don’t trust him.
Has he given anyone any reason to trust him? His only core value seems to be self-promotion.
With all of his broken promises I would say the answer is no. He hasn’t been trustworthy. His track record has given people reason to not trust him.
Jerome Corsi has come out with a list of questions about the birth certificate. He says it could be a computer generated fake. The biggest issue being there is no raised seal of the State of Hawaii on it:

With so many people no trusting the birth certificate already any information that could show it is fake could only serve to confirm their doubts.

I’ve read or watched several presentations on the WH version of the BC. The layers of the document are not all generated from the same software. And they’re too peculiar (As in 3/4 letters of a word on one layer, and 1 letter on another), variations in resolution, etc.
I’m reading Corsi’s book now. It is certainly improbable that a young woman of little means would travel to another continent to have a child. Yet there are many instances of Kenyan officials making public statements about his birth there. Maybe that is all a diversion. The real issues are his dual citizenship at birth and probable abandonment of his US citizenship for that of Indonesia so he could attend school there. Still reading.
“Dishonest Climate Reporting”
As usual. On the bright side, speaking of polls…
“survey finds that 51% of American Adults think the recent severe weather is primarily caused by long-term planetary trends. Only 19% blame the extreme weather on human activity”

There’s that constant 20% that votes wacky every time………………..
We call them “Progressives” 🙂

Thank you for that link.
“Climate change” now means any form of bad weather. We will now hear this chorus everytime the weather is less than perfect. Now even cold weather and blizzards will qualify!
Don’t forget the usual “since records began” rider!
Honest climate reporting.
