Ah but when the adjustments were done it was really quite cold and wet.
Yes, we have said all along that the extreme droughts of the past were much colder and wetter than the AGW driven moderate droughts of the present. The adjustments were necessary to make sure that point is understood, unlike that balogna that Spencer and his ilk turn out that actually match observations.
The only real drought figures are less than 12 years old. Before that it was just wild guesses. I know because I read it ar WUWT this morning:

According to that drought has only been monitored for 12 years! And it is from the national drought monitor center.
