Obviously the ‘Himalayan scientist’ is not a geologist or glaciologist, or an engineer. What drama queens they have become.
Alarmists like McKibben are circling the wagons in a desperate effort to defend their collapsing AGW theory. There are billions of dollars of research grants at stake. If the global warming scare goes away, they’ll have to invent another hobgoblin to replace it and the lost research funding.
Future scientists will one day view the AGW scare as the greated scientific fraud ever foisted on mankind. Unfortunately, until then, billions of taxpayers’ dollars will continue to be wasted fighting the imaginary AGW bogeyman, while millions of American families struggle to make ends meet.
It is my fervent hope that the ringleaders behind the AGW fraud will one day be held accountable for their scientific malfeasance, which has diverted so many precious resources from truly urgent human needs..
Waite, is that an admission from the ‘Himalayan scientist’ that the glaciers are not melting just like the Statue of Liberty. is not melting, or could it be that the ‘Himalayan scientist’ is trying to compare the two by conveying how slowly and how long glaciers actually take to melt?
In a world where glaciers are believed to be shrinking almost everywhere, the authors note that at the west end of the Himalayan arc, where China, India and Pakistan meet, “an anomalous gain of mass has been suggested for the Karakoram glaciers,” citing the findings of Hewitt (2005) – who first wrote about the “Karakoram anomaly” – as well as the subsequent studies of Zemp et al. (2009), Cogley (2011) and Scherler et al. (2011).

Nice choice of words in the report –
“in a contemporaneous commentary on the work of Gardelle et al. – that “by a quirk of the atmospheric general circulation that is not understood, more snow is being delivered to the mountain range at present, and less heat,” which leads one to wonder if there might well be a whole lot of things that are “not understood” about earth’s climate … by even the most brilliant of the world’s scientists.”
Should it not be called “Titter”, rather than “Twitter”? It does seem to be a medium for the self-obsessed and the stupid…
