The One Day Arctic Trend

We have recently learned from climate experts that one day trends determine the climate, so I applied their latest wisdom to Arctic sea ice extent.

It always interests me that the mean value(s) used for these charts only uses data from 1979–2000. If the data from 2001—2012 were included the mean would drop at least to some degree. And, if that were the case, the 2013 ice extent would likely at the least be at the new mean value, if not above it. Another inconvenient truth for CAGW supporters if it came to pass.

    Just sayin’…

They do sometimes run the meaningless mean through 2006, and anyone who does not know why alarmists stop there, has not been paying attention.

We must keep it to 2C!!! Where did they get that number from? Dr. Phil might have put his foot in it.

“The 2 deg C limit is talked about by a lot within Europe. It is never defined though what it means. Is it 2 deg C for the globe or for Europe? Also when is/was the base against which the 2 deg C is calculated from? I know you don’t know the answer, but I don’t either! I think it is plucked out of thin air. I think it is too high as well. If it is 2 deg C globally, this could be more in Europe – especially the northern part. A better limit might be maintaining some summer Arctic sea ice!…..”
