There has been no global warming for 17 years, and global sea ice area is increasing as well. The earth has gained 27,000 Manhattans of sea ice since this date last year, and is greater than it was on this date in 1984.

O’bombers closures only affect those federal services that serve the public. All the others like FBI, CIA, NSA, the armed forces (and I’m sure) anything that proves Global warming and their paid trolls will still be working full chant.
The data for the link you gave only goes up to September 29th of this year I believe. So it does not have Oct 6th for this year.
This chart doesn’t make any sense. The actual (daily) data can be downloaded covering 1979 through 2013 to date from U of I website http://arctic.atmos.uiuc.edu/cryosphere/ .

That is because what they are plotting is something completely different. If you don’t understand basic high school math and science, please stay out of the debate.

I’d say that the sea ice area was rather stable up to 2008 and then started to go up.
(off topic) The blogger there, Carl Wolk, also believes as I do that the Arctic is the “thermometer” of the world, (although he’s not said that explicitly)
