The house sent over a budget which fully funds the government if the Obamacare disaster is delayed by one year – a move which the public supports. Meanwhile, Obama has shut down the government and is threatening to refuse to pay the debt, unless he gets his Obamacare disaster immediately.
Instead of mindlessly negotiating with the terrorist in chief, the GOP should develop a clear and concise message about the situation, and repeat it over and over again.

The problem is not with the House leadership. Those of us with the intelligence to grasp what is going on here already have. The problem is you would not reach the self-interested low information voters with any message that seems to threaten their system of handouts. They are already the cows the ranchers in Washington want to herd around at their whim. The mainstream media feed the cows the crap they want to hear, while ignoring most of what the Republicans have to say, unless they can ridicule it. You and I get our news off of new media, such as the internet and radio, where the message is quite different. It falls on us to explain to friends and neighbors what is going on and what is at stake with Obamacare. Judging from the polls we aren’t doing a bad job, even if the Republican leadership isn’t. Always remember that the Republican message will be spun and distorted by the mainstream media and avoid listening to the crap.
This is not a defense of Republican leadership. I no longer consider myself a Republican. My state is stupid enough to continue to vote McCain into office, who I consider a traitor to America, no matter what he did during the Vietnam war.
It is all an illusion. We are but a single party government. The fact that we have two names for the same party is simply smoke and mirrors. The Repubs don’t want to get the correct message out. They want to continue to perpetuate the same scare mongering mantra, just from a slightly different angle in order to keep the illusion of two seperate parties in battle, when in fact they fundamentally work together, one in the same with just a different name.
I should post script this comment with the fact that there are some more mild voices creeping up in our government, and those are the Tea-Party members. Just take a look at how the Repub establishment reacts to the Tea-Party people like Cruz, Paul and others. That should tell you everything you need to know about the current state of our so-called “political parties”. If we are lucky, and I mean very lucky, Tea-Party members will make great gains in the coming elections and begin to overtake the establishment, otherwise, this country is doomed.
Oh, and another key point that will identify a Repub as a member of the “establishment”. As soon as a Repub refers to the upcoming debt ceiling as a “default”, you know they are nothing more than a Dem with an R behind their name. It is impossible for the US to default on our debt at this time (or foreseeable future). So when they mention “default”, you know not to trust them.
Correct, they just two sides of a progressive coin. We should remove nearly all of them and start over. I will not support anyone who is not a strict constitutionalist, and any money I donate will either be to independent candidates, or Freedomworks.

Interesting… down here in phoenix and went golfing and the club house put me with a couple ladies. after telling them I was from canada out of the blue they asked me about our health care.. anyhow long story short they hated the thought of having to deal with Obama health care

I heard a rant from Larry Kudlow, supposedly a big time conservative, against Cruz and the tea party that was more vitriolic than any rant he has ever made against liberals. I was in a state of shock.
That’s because Cruz et al are a bigger threat to their agenda.
When you are taking flack, you know you are over an important target. Cruz and the Tea Party must be close to a very important target.
