Let Them Eat Cake

Obama spent the last two weeks calling Republicans terrorists, arsonists, traitors and extortionists, then when he scared the little girls running the Republican Party – he succeeded in raising the debt to $17 trillion. Possibly the most dysfunctional week in Washington DC history.

This prompted the Washington Post to ask the obvious question :

Can Obama seize the moment and make Washington work? – The Washington Post

Are these people actually as stupid as they pretend to be?

Maybe our liberal friends should take this simple I.Q. test to see where they stand.

If you think the correct answer is “F. None of the above” then you failed the test and your IQ is approximately the same as that of a grapefruit.

They truely are that stupid. Very few in Washington have a clue as to what a trillion dollars is never mind 17 trillion. Before Obama’s last term is done it will be in excess of 20 trillion. Get out your calculator and compute just the interest on 20 trillion. Consider that just to keep this government going at this pitiful level we have the highest taxes ever (in terms of actual revenue) the highest yearly deficit ever AND we are printing abut a trillion dollars extra a year. That’s just to maintain the current level of dysfunction. There is no way we intend to pay off any of the debt and very soon there will be no way to pay off the interest on that debt. It is inevitable, this house of cards will collapse. All the politicians know this and their only hope is it doesn’t collpase on their watch and THAT is the reason for extending the debt level, pure and simple. But do the math. We are in a spiral and our politicians are telling us it is a carnival ride and the mean Republicans just want to take away our fun. When it happens watch and see how many congressmen and women have dual citizenships and move to Ireland or some other country to retire in. Hang on folks this ride will end soon.

In 1896 JP Morgan was able to bail out a troubled US government with a bond deal worth around 100 million dollars, or the equivalent of about two billion today. How far we have fallen.
