The Copenhagen climate talks were a nightmare, with thousands of folk locked out of the conference halls in the snow. Cancún is shaping up just as badly. Here the problem is intense heat and huge distances.
Apparently 78F is “intense heat” according to The Guardian. No wonder they think the world is warming out of control.

“Add to this intermittent internet access, one-hour traffic jams, a boiling sun and freezing aircon,…”
LOL
It is revealing that he never post any actual temperatures in his scribblings.
Doesn’t look as though things have started well:-
“Cancún climate change summit: Japan refuses to extend Kyoto protocol”
“Talks threatened with breakdown after forthright Japanese refusal to extend Kyoto emissions commitments”
“For Japan to come out with a statement like that at the beginning of the talks is significant,” said one British official. “The forthrightness of the statement took people by surprise.”
“If it proves to be a new, formal position rather than a negotiating tactic, it could provoke a walk-out by some developing countries and threaten a breakdown in the talks. Last night diplomats were urgently trying to clarify the position.”

Sounds like the story on Charlie Rangel handing out turkeys to constituents “bundled up in the cold”. It was 61 degrees when the event occurred.
GLOBAL WARMING!!!!!!!
Breaking News: John Vidal of the Guardian has low IQ; unable to read thermometers and do math.
The average Hi/Low for early December in Cancun is 82F/70F. This means the five day forecast is 23/5 days = 4.6F degrees cooler than the normal highs and 36/5 days = 7.2F degrees cooler than normal lows.

I think having idiots for journalists who never check facts or ask questions, has not been a positive factor in promoting catastrophic global warming.
Well, they are English.
I think they’ve just read the forecast and it said “77 degrees”, that’s pretty intense heat if you forget to convert F into C
Incompetence is Incompetence. 77 degrees celcius is uninhabitable period. it would not be sweltering – it would be cooking. If they made that mistake, that is simply stupidity piled ontop of incompetence.
Steven:
You owe me a new keyboard for not posting a warning! I had just taken a sip of drink! You can probably imagine the reaction from a person who grew up in Las Vegas NV. 🙂
