Pennsylvania has almost no deaths under 30 years old, and more deaths over 95 years old than under 60 years old. Yet children are not allowed in school and most low risk people are not allowed to work.

Not a lot of school children are suffering dementia.

One year ago this week, a flu outbreak in South Australia infected 53 nursing homes, and killed more than a dozen people – including a 15 year old with no pre-existing conditions. The government responded by locking down the nursing homes, rather than the general population.

The Spanish government boldly responded by not allowing children to play outside for two months. It was a typical anti-science/anti-human response from big government.

New York City has the highest death rate in the world, thanks largely to their very popular governor sending sick people to nursing homes. But they had only three deaths of school age children, and all with serious underlying health conditions. Flu kills a lot more children in New York every year.

And according to the World Health Organization, children don’t pass the virus to adults – so that excuse for punishing children doesn’t work either.

There is no rational reason to be restricting the activities of children or keeping them out of school.

Six years ago today, The Atlantic reported that scientists are creating “new, incurable diseases in labs” – and said that a late 1970’s flu outbreak was caused by a virus which escaped a laboratory.

Twitter breathlessly reports that Brazil is the “world’s fourth biggest (COVID) hotspot.”

Brazil is a huge country with more than 200 million people. Deaths per million there are not in the top 25, less than 10% of Belgium, and lower than Denmark – which the press always holds out as a model of success.
