The shy and enigmatic wolverine — which can roam great distances across some of the harshest alpine environments — could be driven out of its last strongholds in the lower 48 states if emissions of greenhouse gases continue unabated, according to a Boulder researcher.
Disrupting the Borg is expensive and time consuming!

So what ? And when glaciers once again start their march south, so will the wolverines. Climate (and everything else) is always changing. And when we all get to the ends of our lives we will experience an unchanging state of existence.
Wolverines might move north if, and only if, maybe, sort of, possibly, we were warming. Since we are cooling and have been for years, the wolverine is fine. The evidence is also that extinctions are most common with cooling not warming. It is stupid to think that animals actually prefer cold. They are only in really cold climates because they cannot compete or avoid competing with organisms in warmer climes. The pattern is that as temperatures warm, the species tend to extend their range north while staying where they were, leading to a larger range. this same pattern has been found in the Alps where the alarmists claimed that mountain species would be forced to extinction. Instead diversity increased and extinctions became less of a threat with warming. Once again, real world 1, alarmists 0.
Given no competition, polar bears would move south.
