So, if I plant my cocoa bean plants now, by the time the UK is a tropical paradise, my beans will be worth their weight in gold?
Will global warming get rid of obesity?
Only if people exercise to look better in their swim outfits and skimpy clothes.
The article only mentions Global warming /climate in passing but has little if anything to do with global warming as the reduced output is due to societal factors. Although being promoted to have some health benefits it is doubtful the benefits exist in Chocolate. It is an unnecessary luxury item that provides an income for those in the production of end products from the growers to the stores that sell the final product. I like the taste of Chocolate from time to time and would probably miss it a tad bit. It is a luxury I can live without.
Chocolate is what keeps one half of the western world’s population killing the other.
Mike, willing to wager there will all the coco beans you want, markets make what people want.
SC has the answer. It is all about making the supply look thin in the future and alarm about Global warming is only one of the latest scare stories being used.
Personally I do not care one way or another. Now if they want to claim that Egg Plants will be affected by dramatic climate change I might get concerned because I do like my ham and egg sandwich from time to time!!!!! đŸ˜‰
I tried to grow some of them EGG Plants once but all I could get them to produce some purple things so I am just going to leep buying the store bought ones . I think it is the type bleach they use to make them white! I could not even get a hard shell on them no matter how long I let them dry!
It looks like some big hedge fund has loaded the truck on cocoa bean contracts and has “informed” the media that it’s running out. That article says it will be like Gold, here is one that is that it will be like Caviar. It’s amazing what these guys will say to make some money

George Soros. He has been amassing huge quantities of commodities since stating his views in public regarding the demise of the US dollar and a one world government.

Just give me all the remaining chocolate and nobody gets hurt.
