1,000 Recorded Floods On The Yangtze River

Including one in 1931 that killed 145,000 people. CO2 was 310 ppm at the time, well below Hansen’s safe level of 350.

Yangtze River, China
1931
Death Toll: 145,000

Although the Huang He has caused more deaths, the Yangtze has had more than 1,000 recorded floods.

    enough with this steven.

thousands of peer reviewed scientists have proven that the climate is was perfect benevolent equilibrium, until the mid-70’s start of modern catastrophic anthropogenic global warming

Why are all the warm periods named “optimums”? I guess they named these before the current new terms arrived to scare people. Interesting that european population peaked during the medieval warming and did not recover until the late 19th century to the same levels due to the effects of the Little Ice Age (bad weather, disease, crops fail ect).

Humans are stupid, they keep ignoring history. It was much warmer in the past and just because you can now detect microscopic changes in chemicals now, doesn’t mean they are effecting us. Dose is important and CO2 dose has not changed enough. Since humans do not get sick from CO2 until 10,000-20,000ppm, if CO2 was never meant to be higher, why can our bodies cope with such high concentrations?

Humans can’t handle the heat?????? We are designed for warming!!!

Oh nooooooooooooooooooo if it gets slightly warming we are ALL DOOMED pay more TAX and your sins will be fixed!!

  6. Scarlet Pumpernickel says:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y_usxrvKvus we are all so weak, we must pay more tax because we are all really scared that everyone will die because it might maybe get slightly warmer. But we are really all designed to run ultramarathons in the heat. If we run long enough, we actually will outrun a horse, that’s how weak humans are 😛

2500 years ago it was much much hotter then today, a happy, positive man lived, even though it was much much warmer he seemed to have some positive ideas?

How did he cope? During that Climate OPTIUMUM it was much much warmer, where is Michael Man’s tree chart on this time, was it colder then? Why does he cut off his long term chart so early?

Check this out several degrees warmer then today 2500 years ago, and 50,000 soldiers found in the Sahara desert, hmmm must have been wetter then today, 50,000 people drink a lot of water, not many oasis exist today I’ve been there 😛

Wow 2500 years ago it was much much hotter, even so, the first Marathon was run. How did they do it? Shouldn’t all people be dead?

Things must have been tough 2500 during one of the warmest times in 12,000 years?

Roughly 2500 years ago, one of the greatest ideologists of China, Laozi appeared. He was the initiator of Taoism. His representative book is Taoteching. He emphasized the connection between different phenomena. During the period of 551 BC to 479 BC, Confucius was famous as a great ideologist, educationist and the initiator of Confucianism. Confucius was the first man in China to begin and operate the private school education. He had more than 3000 students, among them, 72 outstanding people became the social celebrities. He did great contribution to the development of China’s ancient culture and history. He reedited and made up the Book of Changes, theBook of Songs, the Book of History and the Book of Rites. Confucius died at the age of 73. He was buried in Qufu. His house in Qufu became the Confucian Temple later. Confucius’ students made up a book in a dialogue way on Confucius’ thought and lifestyle and named it the Analects.

Weird how technology suddenly jumped as it got warmer. The Bronze age started just as it became warmer, how is this so?

Oh no it was nice and warm, then Hekla 3 turned up and destroyed the party. Why does everything always collapse when it gets cold and not hot?

This is a clear warning of what happens when you don’t pay enough tax to the Gods (your leaders). They can activate the volcano and then your in real trouble. Hekla nowadays erupts a little bit every few years, but one day it’ll punish us all for not appeasing our masters.

2500 years ago, during the hottest time in 4 billion years according to the “record” a comet appeared (since they probably had enough time to notice the comet as it was nice and warm)

    http://www.disinfo.com/2010/09/how-halleys-comet-has-changed-history-over-the-past-2500-years/

The comet was blamed for all the warming and everyone payed lots of tax to stop the doom. At the time, Ancient Greece was a nice warm wet place, with lots of plants and trees, but as it became colder over time, the land started to change and become dryer, and people cut the trees down because of the cold and their little civilization ended.

During the Medieval Warming, the UK Monarchs kepts Lions, then it got cold and the lions died and they threw them into the moat
