Global Warming Unprecedented For At Least 50 years

The image above overlays the NCDC five year running mean of Louisiana (red)  Texas (pink) Maine (green) and Pennsylvania (blue) with the y-axis normalised. Note that the current period of warming is unprecedented. We would have to go back over 50 years to see temperatures warmer than the present, back to a time when Dinosaurs, Elvis and Arnold Palmer ruled the planet.

(Of course, if we removed the 0.6 degrees that have been added on to recent temperatures by USHCN, there would be almost no warming.)

Also note that all the states show the debunked period of global cooling in the 1960s – which peer-reviewed research shows never happened.

Actually, I believe they claim it was due to aerosols that humans put into the air. I also recall other articles etc from the time claiming that the aerosols were sending us into an ice-age. It was all our fault back then too, apparently.

Good thing we cleaned up the skies, eh?

    • Yes, we suddenly started dumping huge amounts of junk into the air in 1950, except in Hansen’s graphs where it actually occurred in 1945 (but the states were too stupid to pick up on it until five years later.) Bunch of hillbilly rednecks in those states.
