They got is mostly right and you quibble over a few words and DENY their accomplishment.
Those two probably were not aware of reality four decades ago so in their world it could be the worst NATURAL disaster in their mental history. Any extremes in the past were considered outliers and were removed from the records because they corrupted the data! If it happened before last decade it is ancient history and other factors must have been responsible for it.
