Meanwhile Lake Powell’s (also partly in Arizona) volume continues to grow, during the hottest decade evah.
Being up stream they will fill that reservoir first. This Spring they may release another Controlled Faux Flood to restore creature habitat.
When the average rain fall in a region is near 3 inches per year how can you have a drought. There is a place in South America that records rain in years per inch. There was a time I spent hours fishing Lake Mead so I paid attention to water levels and what those who controlled the level were doing. Living on a lake in Tennessee I am aware of the water levels here but tend to ignore the what is going on in Southern Nevada these days. But even when I lived there a lot of information regarding weather and water conditions were exaggerated for that region. As it was one of the fastest growing regions in the country there were few “Old Timers” living there.
“Weather Anomalies” Steve – Not “Weather” – Not “Climate”. The Philippines have a vested interest because, shall we say, an unprecedented phenomenon, operating in an unknown manner is causing a reported rise in sea level; causing the reported disappearance of some low islands and atolls in this island nation.
They should worry. In the Andes some unknown factor is changing ocean currents, reducing snow fall, and melting glaciers; creating supposed droughts which are (possibly) causing the displacement of farmers into the cities, wide spread hunger, and (maybe) threatening the Bolivian capital of La Paz.
Somebody, soon, is going to assemble a committee of industry and government leaders to investigate these claims and if they are believed true (by the majority), to create subcommittees to determine why these things might be happening.

an unprecedented phenomenon, operating in an unknown manner is causing a reported rise in sea level;
lol, uhmm, ever heard of coming out of a glaciation? Maybe you can drop the Philippines a line on that one? What part of coming out of an ice age is sooooo complicated to alarmists? Weather “anomalies”? Did we ever have year without floods, droughts, typhoons, hurricanes or tornadoes? In recorded history? Name one year.
