I’ve been coaching soccer nearly every Saturday in the Spring and Fall for the last 15 years. Ten years ago, the weather was almost always warm and pleasant. But for the last five years, the weather has been almost invariably cold and miserable on Saturdays. Today’s game was played in snow, sleet and 30-40 MPH winds.
Disrupting the Borg is expensive and time consuming!

It is obviously getting warmer every year! 😉 You are getting older and think it is getting colder.
That weather doesn’t matter. It only matters that it was hot in the Moscow area for about a week in one summer.
Steve, keep spreading the soccer word, good to hear about your coaching. That was my fathers part time job.
Your next campaign must be “line technology”.
All of the ball over the line? All of Kalou behind the line?
It is a very, very good game when played like today, humans make mistakes, in the midst of the game they must be accepted. However, line technology cannot be ignored.
Going to be a good run in.

Both plays were close enough that I think the linesman made the right call. Kalou held back and didn’t gain any advantage. Chelsea dominated, but they seem to lack any imagination in front of the goal. It would be nice to Arsenal win tomorrow.
I was licensed and coached for 16 years 3 practices M-F and league play or tournaments on weeekends. I loved it.
