Measured maximum temperatures in Lincoln, Virginia have been declining since 1930 (blue line.) But through the magic of subtracting almost four degrees from 1930 temperatures, USHCN has been able to turn a strong downwards trend into an upwards trend.

    Only in climate science is this not fraud. I wonder what would happen in the press if skeptics were caught adjusting temps the other direction for heat island concerns? Hmmm?
