Our new Constitution is now established, and has an appearance that promises permanency; but in this world nothing can be said to be certain, except death and taxes.
Letter to Jean-Baptiste Leroy (13 November 1789).

Also that people on the dole will vote for more dole.
“Democracy is two wolves and a lamb voting on what to have for lunch. Liberty is a well-armed lamb contesting the vote.” -Benjamin Franklin
Why is this significant? Because the libs hoped that a U.S. population, duped and with new demographics, would empower them to make conservatives the lamb, implementing radical environmental (83% CO2 cuts) and redistributive policies. Now, with democracy seeming to fail them in key ways, the libs call for tyranny. The libs are going to pull out all the stops, do whatever they can, not short of murder, in their effort to see the fruition of their socialized de-industrialized world.
