Look how dark the ice is.
satellite observations show a drop in Greenland’s reflectiveness. The darker surface absorbs more sunlight, accelerating melting.

And yet the Greenland ice sheet would not melt when temperatures were 8C warmer than today. Go figure…

Scotland has had a great season this year for snow at Aviemore with lots of skiing done.
