Hmmm…didn’t this happen in Germany a few decades ago?

It is a shame we are wasting money even trying Zimmerman.

Did you hear about this one? http://www.opposingviews.com/i/health/autism/oregon-state-police-use-taser-naked-autistic-11-year-old-girl-video

The news report refers to her as a “young woman” and “juvenile” never once as the 11 year old disabled child she is.

  4. I consider myself a first-hand expert in having one’s head pounded against something hard and unyielding–it only takes a few seconds to gain that expertise, I assure you. In the Army, I once stuck my head out the window of a 2 and 1/2 ton truck while driving across an open field I thought was flat. I laughed for about a second, then I struggled mightily to keep from getting my head crushed, as it bounced between the top and bottom of the window repeatedly. The first bang you hardly notice, as you’re too busy laughing at yourself for being so stupid. But that quickly turns to honest and fervent terror with repeated blows, with no indication of stopping even for the second you would think it takes for you to get your head back inside–it took me a good 5 seconds or more, because my whole body bounced and I couldn’t get a purchase on anything, through half a dozen bangs to the head. There is a fine line between funny and deadly, with head pounding, and it is crossed before you know it. So I know just how Zimmerman must have felt. Those people who think he is guilty of murder should think how they would have handled his situation, or mine for that matter. For this expert, it was clearly self-defense in fear for one’s life. I know (and if you can imagine what I just described, you know too).

Whoa, Harry. That was hard for me to even read. I’m so sorry that you had to go through that. But I think you are right about what it teaches you about this case.

Having been on the receiving end of a beating that put me in the hospital for 10 days with multiple injuries. I can understand Zimmerman’s position. I did not carry then but that soon changed and I still carry and that happened over 40 years ago.

  5. Pathway says:

And what do you suppose that Obama’s son would have done if he had knocked Zimmerman unconscious? Maybe grabbed the gun and administered the Coup de Gras.

    • miked1947 says:

Had it gone the other way Martin probably would not have been caught. The gun saved Zimmerman’s life.

      • David says:

esactly! He lived in a high crime neighborhood, and there was a reason they needed neighborhood watch. It is common sense, and not a crime to monitor someone acting suspicious.

        • miked1947 says:

It is actually a public responsibility to help keep your neighborhood secure from crime. Zimmerman was being a concerned citizen.

I know Sanford having worked their for years . It for the most part is a Hell hole in the typical Minority areas. I Know many who have lived in gated communities and been held up at gunpoint. On the outskirts of these areas. About 70-80% of downtown area is not safe at night. 40-50%.
