  1. kbray in california says:

One of their supporters says an arctic hurricane is forecast to bring them a good “tail” wind.
I recommend they “turn tail” instead.

    • That would be very smart to take a rowboat out in a hurricane.

      • Is a device a rowboat if it cannot be rowed under routine weather conditions?

I think of the Arctic Joule more as a small galleon, minus the masts, rudder, and keel. And of course, made of fiberglass; that’s an important difference.

        http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Galleon

“The most distinguishing features of the galleon include the long beak [. . .] and the square gallery at the stern off the captain’s cabin.”

        • Mike says:

It’s not a row boat, it’s a bear shelter with oars.

The rowers ranting delusions about how great solar energy has been on the trip, powering a few small 12v batteries. When they need to be rescued they should ask the rescue helicopter to drop in an electric out board and make their escape using solar power! After all they have 24 hour daylight!

Remove the parentheses and idiots for the link.

      • Latitude says:

kbray, that forecast is going to smash them…
…it’s going to hammer them, and ice, right into the coast

        • kbray in california says:

They best duck into “Eskimo Lakes” around the corner.
They might be lucky to survive there.
          I’ll give them 50/50 odds.
If it blows too hard a helicopter rescue is not an option.

        • Billy Liar says:

Helicopters don’t mind strong, gusty winds – high wing (blade) loading = low gust response.

    • Alan Sexton says:

Imagine the warmists propaganda if a storm does to the ice this year what last year’s storm did.

      • Last year there was almost no ice in the Beaufort Sea and the water was warm. This year there is a lot of ice and the water is cold.

        • Alan Sexton says:

Notwithstanding, any significant storm related loss in sea ice is sure to be attributed by warmists to “climate change,” with merely a passing, if any, reference made to any storm(s).

        • Traitor In Chief says:

Reading from that link KBray provided, you find a comment about “Fragile” ice… when will those dolts ever get a clue?

  2. Fred from Canuckistan says:

The have just about run out of sand flats over which to drag their boat.

Maybe they can just swim-drag their way to PI.

  3. gator69 says:

Rowers? Delusional con men in a boat.
