Obama spent all last week saying that diplomacy and the UN were a waste of time, because Russia would get in the way. The only solution he said was to do an unbelievably small large scale military effort with no boots on the ground to get rid of Assad and was not about regime change.
Then Putin kicked his ass, and now he says :
Russia did get in the way. Just not the way he imagined. In an ideal world he would keep doing unbelievably small things. A few mulligans here and there. And keep quiet about them.
Mass-murder aside, its fun to see a guy with an ego the size of a planet flounder around like this. There is a danger though. Any more amps and he’ll be so frazzled he could hit a staffer with a teleprompter.
The danger is that he is still taken seriously.
