Senators say they are nearing a deal on shutdown, debt
At one time, congressional Republicans said they would not vote for a new spending plan or raise the debt ceiling unless Obama delayed parts of the new health care law — but such delays are not part of the proposed agreement.
At 3 p.m. ET, Obama will meet at the White House with bipartisan congressional leaders: Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, D-Nev.; Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell, R-Ky.; House Speaker John Boehner, R-Ohio; and House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif. Vice President Biden will also attend the session.
Why did he start this fight, if he didn’t have the nerve to finish it?
The entire Republican leadership is useless. Look at Peter King attacking Senator Cruz. They shoot themselves all the time while Dems invariably close ranks.
The big lie is the debt ceiling and default. There is more than enough income to service the debt yet we are daily fed the big lie about default.
The republicans and democrats are so arrogant they THINK we can not fire them !
They are NOT doing their jobs “we have to let them go”.
UNLESS I have a remarkable and complete change of heart I will never waste my vote on a republican or democrat again. I WILL VOTE and If there is no other option I will write someone in. If enough people will do the same THEY WILL LISTEN. The polls currently have the republican approval percentage at only 1 in 4 and the democrats insist on supporting ABLE people that just WILL NOT work.
Independents would be my first choice then Constitution or Libertarian parties followed by lessor parties …… NO R … NO D ,,,, NO INCUMBENT.
I would take anything the press is saying with a grain of salt. Until I actually see what is in the agreement, I am not going to believe a damned word the MSM publishes.
The Commies told us long ago they intended to capture both political parties (all political parties…). If it’s a politician, it can’t be trusted. If it speaks, it lies. Chase it away.
AMEN … Roger that.
Bob Michel, Dennis Hastert, John Boner, what’s the difference.
(R)epublicrats. All of them.
