Arctic expert predicts final collapse of sea ice within four years | Environment | theguardian.com
The collapse can be seen here, as the most ice in a decade.

This shouldn’t concern anyone, because the Arctic has actually been ice-free since the year 2000.
When he gets this far on the blog posting maybe averyharden will understand that temperature do not track CO2 levels. As all the UN-IPCC experts aserted that the arctic is the first area on the planet to be affected, it is not following the UN-IPCC plan.
Climate models are proved to be wrong by the evidence of the measurements.
A Very Dumb Hardhead will not understand. 17 models all programed differently and all wrong.
The collapse of the theory of sea ice collapse pre-empted the collapse of the actual sea ice. Sweet irony.
Anyone know who has predicted an ice free Arctic in 2017 some idiot must have.
That’s what I’m thinking . . . EVERY year has now been staked out by someone.
We have a winner…
“It is my opinion that the range NOAA gives of between 2020 to 2050, with caveats that model predictions are likely to be too slow, is still a bit too conservative in that it fails to give warning to the rising risk of an almost immediate melt. Just following current melt trends brings us to a completely ice-free Arctic by 2017. Any single melt year like 2007 or 2010 (volume) brings us to an ice free or nearly ice free state in one year.”

The latest meme is that when these predictions fail, they are merely “outiers” or not “the mainstrem view” Same apologists ought to point this out in advance if they want to be taken seriously.
“If you don’t like my predictions, I have other predictions you might like.”

Wadhams said the same thing in 2011; the Arctic will be ice free in the summer in four years – ie 2015:
http://www.telegraph.co.uk/earth/environment/globalwarming/8877491/Arctic-sea-ice-to-melt-by-2015.html
In the Grauniad article, in 2012, he hedges his bets and says ‘within 4 years’ and ‘2015-2016’.
In 2009 he was saying ‘in as little as ten years’:

Obviously, he’s got some robust predictions there. It’s a pity he’s going to be badly wrong.
I still don’t know why I should care if Arctic ice melts.
Even the fudged NOAA site is saying it is tied for being the highest in 10 years.
Who cares if it all melts anyway? If anything, it is a net benefit for trade routes and oil/mineral exploitation.
Wow! Antarctic ice extent well above normal from the Bremen site. Extent is just hovering at near peak levels.

The Guardian (socialist waste paper) goes incandescent when threatened by inconvenient facts. If they were truly “green”,they’d stop the printing presses and cease using paper.

Well I didn’t read the article yet, but my comment is ‘better make that 2017’.
