Both parties meet in advance and discuss what they are going to say and what questions are allowed to be asked…. it’s common knowledge that it’s not a debate, but a staged discussion.

This was the most egregious journalistic fail in the history of television. It should be the subject of a Congressional investigation of CNN. Seeing it live I nearly barfed.
Romney failed. He had a chance to rip her a new one and failed. Had he done so he likely wins the election. But did he really want to win? If he did why didn’t he pounce on Crowley and simply ask why she just happened to have that particular piece of paper at hand and how it was that Obama asked for that particular piece.
But Romney failed. A NE liberal Republican showed his stripes.
All he had to do was say something about the 2 weeks afterwards when Obama blamed the video. Like “well I think that’s surprising to most Americans because he blamed a youtube video for 2 weeks afterwards, as did his ambassador to the UN and Secretary of State.
Instead, he was clearly floored that anyone would just flat lie like that in a Presidential debate, and got flustered.
Agreed. A most general incompetence was, and is, at work–we see this over and over–which suggests there may very well not be enough competence now to right the system and save the country, or maybe the world–from war.
This is so close to my heart – thanks Steven. It wasn’t until May, 2013 that the WaPost got around to handing Pres Obama “Four Pinocchios” for saying, “The day after it happened, I acknowledged that this was an act of terrorism.”
Here’s an excerpt from a memo which many many folks (including Romney) received from me following that disgraceful moment. From the late-released (Nov 4th) excerpt from the Sept 12th Steve Kroft “60 Minutes” interview of Pres Obama.
President Obama absolutely agreed with Kroft’s statement that in his Rose Garden address earlier that day [on September 12th] that President Obama . .
KROFT: “Mr President, this morning you went out of your [his] way to avoid the use of the word terrorism in [right] connection with the Libya Attack [right] . .”
The insert of the word “right” is Obama’s voice – agreeing – while Kroft is stating the premise to his question – Obama’s bs answer is not nearly as important, as what he just agreed with, as he agreed that he’d gone out of his way to avoid calling it an act of terrorism, during his Rose Garden speech.

Even from the “transcript” of his Sept. 12 speech, it is clear he was lying. The way to tell for sure is to fact check the opposite statement, that he never called it a terrorist act the day after. Which is in fact true. He referred to terrorist acts once, but did not label the attack either way.

Bottom line here, is that our national media stole the last two elections from we the people.

Painful. When Romney pulled back, I knew he had lost the election barring some major incident.
Don’t forget the Vice Presidential debate where Paul Ryan permitted locked in rictus Joe Biden to run all over him thereby, apparently, throwing the “contest.”
Ryan is currently doing his best to open the borders to the world so either is is a fool or a traitor.
