The Missing Carbon Emissions

The team probably needs a huddle. Some days they say that atmospheric CO2 is soaring out of control, and other days the ocean is sucking CO2 up much faster than expected.

As recent research has shown, the Pacific is soaking up vast amounts of carbon emissions, more than than initially thought, leading to a flattening in the amount of global warming that’s happened.

That sucking sound might also be the last few brain cells coming out their ears.

  1. …which suddenly turned on 17 years ago. They can turn an hypothesis on, on a moment’s notice. But you mentioned they need a “huddle”. Maybe they need a hug–maybe they all needed more hugs when they were very small (and that’s why they still act very small).

    • Good, caring people should grab them and hug them–very, very tightly (around the neck), for oh, a minute or so…that ought to do it.

        LOL!
The idea of lowering CO2 makes perfect sense in a cooling climate, I mean because the climate is cooling the CO2 levels should start to decrease at some point, as it happened in previous glacial periods, etc.
We could say also that the missing CO2 is going back to the bottom of the oceans, where they actually came from in the first place!! 😉

  2. It would be really funny if the cooling lasts long enough for CO2 levels to actually start dropping. That would be hysterical. You know we aren’t going to stop burning fossil fuels, but if we keep burning them and the CO2 **drops** because of global cooling, I will laugh my ass off.

“Global cooling is causing a dangerously low level of CO2, all the plants will die. Send money.”

  3. QV says:

So, global temperatures have stopped rising because more CO2 is being “soaked up” by the Pacific Ocean, even though the figures show that atmospheric concentrations of CO2 have continued to increase?

Yes. That argument smells like rotten fish. Alarmists could say anything now and the Lamestream media would publish it as gospel. Hansen and Mann are Jim and Tammy Bakker in 2013.

  5. Reblogged this on Power To The People and commented:
Obama’s grand plan to switch from fossil fuel to Green Energy will “skyrocket” the price of energy. The fact Solar and Wind Energy provide very little bang for the buck appears to be of no consequence to President Obama nor the fact high fuel costs will shaft the Middle Class and poor the most by reducing the quality of their basic living conditions.

  6. Kaboom says:

It’s amazing how the oceans do that without diminishing the CO2 concentration in the air.
