Hope and change means doubling the national debt and destroying the US Constitution, while spying on everyone and demonizing the bitter, clinging, terrorist, racist, arsonist, traitorous flat earther’s who dare to question the will of Dear Leader.
Hope and change also means creating tens of millions of new uninsured, while confiscating 4% of middle class gross income – because people can’t afford to pay for doubled insurance premiums.
The US Government did plant the first flag on the moon, so they own all that and everything in between and beyond, including everything you can see from standing on the surface of the moon, including the earth.
Seems logical for left thinking.

It means that you HOPE you have some CHANGE left over after your government takes what it wants from you.
With the government’s out of control deficit spending, the endless quantitative easing, and the increasing burden of additional rules and regulations placed on ordinary commerce, the old 1930’s phrase needs to be updated. “Brother, can you spare a dime?” should be updated to “Brother, can you spare five bucks?” Even then, it is questionable that the five bucks can buy as much as a dime did back then.
