Until 60 years ago, 100 degree days in Wisconsin were fairly common, but they almost never happen any more.
Disrupting the Borg is expensive and time consuming!

It was more common around here as well- as little as 40 years ago. I was working outside in those days.
Really?
Here’s the history of Milwaukee’s record high temperatures:
http://www.aos.wisc.edu/~sco/clim-history/stations/mke/MKE-HIGH-T-ANN.gif
Exactly. There have only been three years in Milwaukee since the 1950s above 100 degrees.
Are you stats-challenged there Steve Case?
Yeah, I realized that after pasted it up there. Shoulda followed up.
Thanks anyway, it was interesting.
Are all of these posts about US? Defending the US and saying we haven’t played a major role in global warming? Or are they attempting to thwart the global warming environment? If it’s the former…wow. I never knew that 4% of the world’s population had such a … unprofound impact on the world. THANK JESUS FOR ENVIRONMENTAL REGULATIONS. Turns out they are working here in the US?
“…wow. I never knew that 4% of the world’s population had such a … unprofound impact on the world….”
Not it is not JUST the USA.
Steven is concentrating on the USA records. However he is not the only one looking at the temperature records.
Henry P. Is in South Africa and looking at temps but I don’t know if he has looked at the original South African temps. Last I knew he was concentrating on rural temperatures world wide. (He found the earth is cooling.)
Jo Nova has shredded the BOM Australian records in this series of posts:
http://joannenova.com.au/tag/australian-temperatures/
The people in New Zealand actually took their weather service to court:
NIWA is being sued by the NZ Climate Coalition, and the response was The Goat ATE the Data!
The team: Frank Lansner and Nicolai Skjoldby, are looking at the original European weather data as well as world wide. The Original Temperatures Project Here is an example:
http://hidethedecline.eu/pages/posts/original-temperatures-sweden-and-norway-280.php?searchresult=1&sstring=Original+Temperatures%3A
E. M. Smith and Verity Jones looked at the dying of the thermometers and how it affected the ‘global temperatures’
The Bolivia Effect is just one of many of E.M.’s posts
The ‘Station drop out’ problem is just one of many of Verity’s posts
Even the Russians are accusing the Climastrologists of tampering with the data.
Sorry that bit of mud just doesn’t fly. You will have to toss a lot more mud to find something that will stick. Meanwhile maybe Ma Nature will serve up that glaciation that is now over due according to the Paleoclimate Scientists.

… THANK JESUS FOR ENVIRONMENTAL REGULATIONS.
That is comment is representative of “anachronistic fallacious thinking” and fairly common in today’s bubble-packed, shrink-wrapped world of ‘consumerism’. You see, it wasn’t government that cleaned things up, it was the advancement of technology that allowed ever-more efficient engine-control systems using direct port fuel-injection for instance to ‘clean up’ IC engine emissions.
In case you didn’t notice, it would have been impossible to implement the necessary technology on cars in the 1960’s that we are able to implement today using such ‘advancements’ over 1960 tech such as microprocessors and O2 sensors for instance …
.
+100
Just enforcing criminal trespass laws instead of ENVIRONMENTAL REGULATIONS would have worked just dandy and still preserved our property rights.
