Arctic Refuses To Melt As Ordered

Al Gore demanded that the Arctic melt out this year, but the ice appears to be taking its orders from the Koch Brothers at the present time.

Another sell out to big tobacco, which threatens the future of the Arctic. The ice needs to be targeted by the patent commission, to force it to change its planet threatening ways.

I asked Al Gore on twitter if he stood by his 2007 speech predicting an iceless summer in the Arctic. Al hasn’t responded yet. Also, I asked Al on twitter why he has no investments in green energy when he is singing the praises of taxing hard working families trying to make ends meet, to invest in this wonderful green energy. Al deleted that question.

Don’t worry about Gore, he doesn’t have a reputation in the field to uphold. Now here is someone who must be getting very worried – Professor Peter Wadhams. Here is what he said in the past few years.

      Daily Telegraph – 8 November 2011
Arctic sea ice ‘to melt by 2015’
Prof Wadhams said: “His [model] is the most extreme but he is also the best modeller around.

“It is really showing the fall-off in ice volume is so fast that it is going to bring us to zero very quickly. 2015 is a very serious prediction and I think I am pretty much persuaded that that’s when it will happen.”

      ——-
      Guardian – 17 September 2012
Arctic expert predicts final collapse of sea ice within four years
“This collapse, I predicted would occur in 2015-16 at which time the summer Arctic (August to September) would become ice-free. The final collapse towards that state is now happening and will probably be complete by those dates”.

      ——-
      Financial Times Magazine – 2 August 2013
“It could even be this year or next year but not later than 2015 there won’t be any ice in the Arctic in the summer,”

      ——-
      The Scotsman – 12 September 2013
Arctic sea ice will vanish within three years, says expert
“The entire ice cover is now on the point of collapse.

“The extra open water already created by the retreating ice allows bigger waves to be generated by storms, which are sweeping away the surviving ice. It is truly the case that it will be all gone by 2015. The consequences are enormous and represent a huge boost to global warming.”

My own view of what will happen is: 1. Summer sea ice disappears, except perhaps for small multiyear remnant north of Greenland and Ellesmere Island, by 2015-16. 2. By 2020 the ice free season lasts at least a month and by 2030 has extended to 3 months…..

Thanks for the phrases and the good laugh! 🙂
I tried to select the best, but it’s difficult to choose- the guy is a real expert in pseudo-science- but certainly one of the best is the following
        Financial Times Magazine – 2 August 2013
“It could even be this year or next year but not later than 2015 there won’t be any ice in the Arctic in the summer,”

It is short and contains 3 predictions, including one for the very time he was speaking.
He was proven wrong in 2013 big time, and is about to be proven wrong for 2014 in the next 2 months and, if the real scientific predictions and analyses about the Arctic become true- as all data so far indicates that they will- then 2015 will be simply the most spectacular of his failed predictions.
Let’s wait and see, but it’s fair to ask if he comes into failed predictions 3 years in a row he’ll possibly stop talking about climate or change his analyses. Well, I predict that he’ll continue to say the same he’s saying now, only pushing the “final collapse” date to a few years in the future, probably 2018-2020.
After all, that’s what true hoaxers do.

Maybe someone has already asked; What’s the big downward blip in early May?
    Instrument problems?

  3. stewart pid says:

Steven you had better get Reggie and Jayden on this inconvenient non melting of the Arctic as soon as possible … perhaps Jayden can stroke Reggie’s blow thingy and get a spark 😉

  4. David Jay says:

I’m always puzzled on days when the 15% page and the 30% page move almost 90 degrees to each other. Today, the 30% line went mostly sideways and the 15% line went almost straight down.

  5. Dmh says:

BTW, according to “cryosphere today” (UIUC) the Antarctic ice has just reached the 3rd highest anomaly since 1979 (slightly below the maximum of 2013, by 8,000 km2)

Both polar regions of Earth are cooling.

  6. Top Gear says:

I thought the Kochs and Gore were on the same money-grubbing side, the Kochs to get oil out an Ice Free Arctic and Gore to profit from getting the carbon out of the air. 😉

    • Gail Combs says:

NAH, Gore traded in all his green energy stock and bought into natural gas pipe lines.

Al Gore walks away from green energy

    • There Is No Substitute for Victory. says:

I thought the reason that the Red Baron (Al Gore) needed a jet air-o-plane was that he is planning on asphyxiating all of Santa’s tiny Reindeer with CO2, then burying the wee bodies in his new Super Fund landfill built right between Mr. Gore’s Zink mine and his Tobacco barn. Al Gore couldn’t recognize Green Energy if it showed up in his hotel room to give the “Sex Kitten” another one of his infamous $1,800 massages. ‘Ain’t’ that right Tipper?

  7. Steve you might enjoy this quote from everyone’s favourite climate crank, David Appell. This is in reference to the possibility that the current El Nino formation may be fizzling out –

“Maybe it’s too soon to call it a complete failure…so keep your party hat on for another week or two. But for now, someone turn the music down, OK?”

I can only interpret this as meaning that in David’s worldview, the more warming the better. That is, if the world warmed as predicted by alarmists and there were global catastrophes, as per the predictions of alarmists, then the alarmists would be putting their party hats on and celebrating. A rather odd fellow isn’t he? 😉

    • Andy Oz says:

      I agree Will.
Alarmists who are celebrating catastrophic events indicate a psychological disposition to be either a psychopath or a sociopath. Which means they cannot see or accept their own flaws and have no empathy towards others. People freezing in winter or dying of heatstroke in summer due to unaffordable energy bills means nothing to these people.
That aspect of certain politicians and certain alarmists is why I have zero respect for them.

      • Jason Calley says:

Andy, I agree with you. Even the rank and file CAGW cultists have no good excuse. They have failed to do reasonable research to find whether they are supporting the facts. Having failed that first duty, they embrace a belief system that necessarily entails starvation and permanent third world status for billions.

        Shame on them.
