Consensus Of Americans Don’t Believe In Mann-Made Global Warming

Poll: 53 Percent Of Americans Don’t Believe In Man-Made Global Warming

President Obama is emphasizing global warming ahead of the November elections, but a new poll suggests he faces an uphill climb.

According to a Pew Research Center poll, 35 percent of Americans say there is not enough solid evidence to suggest mankind is warming the earth while another 18 percent says the world has warmed due to “natural patterns” and not human activity.

I believe in Man made warming. But I do not think it is significant, except Locally.

UHI is a real factor. But then by its name, it only affects small sections of the planet.

Since Obama has now pivoted to Global Warming as his latest political thingy, we can factually conclude public support for this issue will collapse because nobody believes the lies coming out of his mouth anymore. His lying makes Billy Clinton look like an amateur.

On July 1 NASA are launching a satellite to map carbon dioxide around the globe. They blew up the first attempt. They call CO2 the “gorilla in the room”!! Must be a very very very tiny room, with quarks and unicorns for company. What a waste of money. How much was their space budget cut?

      Good line, Andy Oz!

Yes but Obama has Hank Paulson channeling the ghost of Ken Lay and Enron to help him frighten the taxpaying sheep. The criminals at Enron wanted to fleece Americans by scaring them into believing that only cap and trade could save the planet from instantaneous combustion and humans from certain death and now the criminal politicians want to fleece Americans by scaring them into believing that only a carbon tax can save the planet from instantaneous combustion and humans from certain death.

Obama has done a great job brainwashing his side into believing that only through more taxation without representation, can the world and humans be saved from Venus like climate and certain death..

    • Peter Yates says:

Brainwashing into believing … “a Venus like climate …”

Of course we know that it will never get very much like Venus (or Mars for that matter). Venus is a lot different to the Earth.
~ For example, it doesn’t have strong magnetic fields to help protect the planet. Therefore the solar wind stripped it of gases like hydrogen, helium, and oxygen ions, leaving the higher-mass molecules like carbon dioxide. The atmosphere became very dense, with 96% CO2, and 92 times more than Earth’s pressure at the surface.
~ Also, it is considerably closer to the Sun, at about 0.72 of the distance from the Sun to the Earth, and it rotates very slowly at only 6.5 km/h or 4 mph. Therefore a Venus day is very long! Venus takes 243 Earth days to rotate once.
~ Naturally given the above, Venus does not have biomass (or oceans) to absorb some of the CO2, and it does not have a carbon cycle to lock carbon back into the rocks.

I wonder if the 47% who are believers are the same ones who would never vote for Romney. Let’s face it they are probably on the Obama payroll so they will think whatever he wants them to.

OK, I am being facetious, but it does show that a majority of Americans recognise BS when they see it.

  6. kirkmyers says:

There is a growing number of people who don’t see any warming at all. They’ve taken the time to look at the actual temperature data (e.g. UAH, RSS, HadCRUT 3), which shows no warming for 17 years.

Moreover, we still don’t know for certain what caused the much-talked-about warming of the last century. How much of it was simply the result of poorly sited thermometers, land-use changes and the urban heat island effect? How much of it was caused by natural factors, including solar output (with resulting changes in galactic cosmic rays and cloud cover) and oceanic oscillations (e.g. PDO, ENSO and AMO)?

It’s virtually impossible to differentiate between the minuscule level of warming caused by natural CO2 emissions (e.g. ocean outgassing, decaying vegetation, volcanism) and the tiny increment of warming (so small its signature defies measurement) allegedly caused by the burning of fossil fuels.

28% Are Willing To Pay Higher Utility Bills to Reduce Coal Usage
Most voters are unwilling to pay more to reduce coal usage for energy production

…..A new Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey finds that just 20% of Likely U.S. Voters correctly recognize that 40% of America’s electricity is now being produced by coal-burning power plants. Forty-three percent (43%) believe coal produces more of the nation’s electric power than that, with 16% who peg it at 80%. Just 13% think coal-fueled plants produce less than 40% of the country’s electricity, but 24% are not sure.

However American voters are not completely clueless:
37% of Voters Fear the Federal Government

“…..54% consider the federal government today a threat to individual liberty rather than a protector. Just 22% see the government as a protector of individual rights, and that’s down from 30% last November.”

  10. Brian H says:

A majority is not “consensus”. YCLIU. It means unanimity.
