England have no chance whatsoever , they are lacking the mental ability, the skill and suffer from a dearth of any glory whatsoever. Suarez is good though but the way Cavani (?) was able to find him as he slipped Jagielka is precisely the football that England can’t play. I’ve just turned the game off again as I’m sick of the constant predictable failure.

  2. Anything is possible says:

    ROOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOONEY!!!

Not even he could miss that one!

  3. Andy Oz says:

    England pressing. 1-1.
    Late winner on the cards.

  4. Lawrence13 says:

All England have done is aggravate Uruguay, they’ll get the winner and England will as usual wallow in self pity like four years ago when Lampards gaol was said not to have gone in.
We do not have the mental strength and rend to wait for chances as opposed to creating them. Uruguay need to win just like England but they won’t fluff it.

    • Andy Oz says:

      Wallowing starts in 5 minutes.
      Tomorrows headline
“CANNIBAL BITES HAND THAT FEEDS HIM” – Martin Tyler.

    • England completely dominated the match but couldn’t shoot. Bucktooth had two good chances and converted both.

      • Lawrence13 says:

Because he is a winner and feels no shame for his country

        • Andy Oz says:

Suarez is still a cheater. WC2010 handball was a disgrace. Might be highly skilful but never a fair player.

        • Lawrence13 says:

Andy: he still is a winner though, no fluffing, no hesitation he took his two chances superbly. That’s why we like Rooney as he’s the closest we have to being a winner. The premierships teams have flattered the English players

  5. Lawrence13 says:

There you are , told you so pathetic F^&cking pathetic. I really do blame decades of lefty political correctness

  6. Robertv says:

Marco Castro from Lloyd’s Brazil said: “It is incredible to see how much some of the teams playing in Rio are worth – the top three, Germany, Spain and England – are worth more than £1.7bn collectively. This is more than the bottom 20 teams combined.

    Spain out England out

    • Truthseeker says:

I guess that makes the Socceroos about the best value for money team going around …

      • Streetcred says:

LOL … the Socceroos … I’m in awe of this second rate outfit though it be from my home. That is in awe of their hubris.

      • Andy Oz says:

WC2014 team cost per goal in carnival to date:
Germany – wait till after second round (641/no. of goals)
Spain – 590 pounds per goal
England – 275 pounds per goal
Brazil – 149 million per goal
Netherlands – 35 million pounds per goal
Australia – 11 million pounds per goal
Like in Moneyball, the big Club team managers will be taking note.

Australia could beat Spain even without superstar Timmy Cahill.
And Chile may beat Netherlands without Van Persie. (Viva Chile!)

  7. Tony B says:

For what my opinion is worth, England comes into the World Cup every four years with an attitude to pace themselves and reserve their talents for the later rounds which are sure to come…Their opponents put everything on the line knowing it’s all or nothing on this one match. They catch the English players out every time.

  8. Llanero says:

    E li mi na do!
