Last year, temperatures north of 80N were below normal every single day, and so far a repeat in 2014. It is difficult to make the Arctic ice free with a melt season of four weeks at 1ºC.

I hear rumors that the North Pole which has been shifting steadily over the years, suddenly moved to St. Clair, Illinois. 🙂
