Apparently being a gay footy player is different from being straight and they need to be loved and be accepted by everybody else. I care more about homeless people than I do about gay rights. However, In the promotion of tolerance, I’m all for showering with females after training.

This would have been in the ’50s I think.

You’re seeing gay hate, based on no evidence. That’s similar to warmists seeing warming as the cause of all sorts of things without any efforts to establish a link.
Steve’s point may have been that the media are focused on a trivial story rather than something of importance. Until you eliminate that possibility there is no basis to ascribe hatred.

Why I see Totalitarianism in our future
This country is ripe for an explosion. The socialists have run out of “other people’s money” but are spending like drunken sailors. Old folks have lost much of their savings and pensions. “Among beneficiaries aged 65 and older, Social Security represents 90 percent or more of income for 35 percent of elderly white beneficiaries, 42 percent of Asian Americans, 49 percent of blacks, and 55 percent of Hispanics.” 26 percent of retirees depend on Social Security as their only income. That doesn’t include all the third generation welfare Moms or the 24% unemployed.
Clinton with his exporting of jobs and technology and setting up foreclosuregate, Reagan with his killing of good mid-sized American companies with no debt, Bush with his Patriot Act and finally Obama with his racism and ‘War on Coal’ have set this country up and no one sees it.

You can not put in a dictatorship unless there is ‘Unrest’. If you look at what is happening in the USA that is EXACTLY what they are trying to accomplish. What Kent Clizbe made clear in Willing Accomplices was that a favorite tactic of the Communists is to foment unrest and then step in and take over the government while the current government is otherwise occupied. In this way only a very small number of dedicated people and a bunch of unknowing but ‘Useful Idiots’ can overthrow an entire country.

The Patriot Act: This bit of tre@$..n was followed by the build-up of civilian police as paramilitary, the trashing of The Law of Posse Comitatus, the Valentines day 2008 signing of an agreement with Canada – Canada-U.S. pact allows cross-border military activity, the Department of Homeland Security stockpiling enough Ammo for a 20 year hot war in the USA, and finally the latest to slip-out (May 28th 2014) Memo outlines Obama’s plan to use the military against citizens.
How about connecting all those dots instead of worrying about whether Steve is insulting gays?…

I my opinion homosexuality is a normal manifestation of human sexual behavior, as much as heterosexuality.
The only difference is that there are less people in the first group than in the second.
I have many homosexual friends.
In the XXI century and living in a free society, the most prestigious and mature society ever built IMO (despite the problems), we should have no prejudice of this kind anymore.
Everybody is different from everybody, that’s perhaps the greatest richness of being human.
One problem here,If you believe in God, it is immoral. The country has become amoral, so there are no limits to how far down the road it will go. How can we say anything is wrong if there are no standards. The best standard is God’s word.
I believe in God but don’t see where loving someone of the same sex immoral. I don’t see what one has to do with the other. Maybe if we desperately needed more people, there would be some moral obligation to procreate, but that is hardly the case at this time.
