Stupid Commies

I once went on a date with a girl who argued that China was too free. She was referring to the lack of regulation of pollution, but obviously drew the incorrect conclusion. Needless to say, I didn’t go out with that neo-liberal again.
Well, let’s put it this way…I’ve got the Bolsheviki to thank for being here. Without them and their wonderful little party in October of 1917, my great-grandmother would have still been over there. And would have never met my great-grandfather…
They told me Lenin was the smartest man in the world, no?
http://englishrussia.com/2014/03/31/lenin-was-the-smartest-man-in-the-world
Wait…I thought Bill Clinton…or Obama…or is it Hilary Clinton is/was/are the smartest man in the world…
“manthing”
Obama knows more about policy than his policy advisers, remember?
Oh yeah! Reality destroys a PC-Progressive, as always.
Their PC-Progressive belief system constantly reassures them that they are superior to Normals, like you.
This constant unrealistic belief in their elite superiority shrinks their brains.
They are unable to reason.
And totally unprepared to deal with reality.
+1
Only a small, closed-minded bigot calls someone else a teabagger.
Oh their minds are open alright but their brains fell out.
P0wn3d!!!!
I think you mean “pwned”.
LOL! That was really good.
I never was in Russia, but I spent time in Ukraine at Sebastopol on the Crimean Penninsula in the 1990s. The main legacy of the USSR was failing infrastructure and some really scary economies. Flying into Odessa, we taxied by a series of “wrecks” that were actually the source of spare parts to maintain operating planes at the far end of the line. The naval base in Sebastopol was just as bad and should have terrified Russian submariners. Kilo-class subs were being maintained the same way. The nominal city 240(?) volt household electrical supply fluctuated madly, dropping as low as 150 volts and abruptly shooting up to 290 volts or so. Burned out electrical systems were common. Russia’s biggest handicap has always been its politics. That doesn’t appear to have changed. It isn’t communism, it’s authoritarianism at its worst.
When a government tries to control everything it succeeds at nothing. Everything becomes a decaying, rusting mess of grey concrete and protruding rebar and your whole life is standing in line for a roll of toilet paper.
“It isn’t communism, it’s authoritarianism at its worst.”
There are only two political camps. The “Run your own life but don’t hurt anyone” party, and the “Do what we say or we will kill you — and we might even kill you anyway” party. The so-called “Progressives” belong to the second.
Nice break down. Clinton’s Third Way is just another try at getting people to swallow “Do what we say or we will kill you — and we might even kill you anyway” party.
Nowadays the people of Simferopol would not be seen dead being part of the Ukraine.

An example of what Communism does to an economy – I’ve visited Ukraine a few times – It essentially looks like Detroit:
http://news.bbcimg.co.uk/media/images/77576000/jpg/_77576570_77576569.jpg
https://c2.staticflickr.com/8/7153/6732029835_a27cc4e466_z.jpg
Block after block of communist apartment houses, much of it boarded up, but with people living inside. Everyone walks – they don’t usually have cars. The typical wage was $80/month. Lots of crime and prostitution to get money to eat.
There is no toilet paper anywhere. If you find some, you can’t put it in a toilet, assuming you can find a western toilet. It won’t go thru the plumbing system. Sometimes there is an attendant outside the bathroom who will sell you some paper for a few Hryvnia, usually a couple of squares.
I stayed at a place in Kiev called the Sherman Guest House. It was January, and on the first night, the heat went off. In the morning, the front desk explained that occasionally, the government turns the electricity off to force everyone to pay their bill. In my opinion, the hotel was run down, but to them, it was a nice place.
The only decent hotel in Kiev at the time was the Hyatt, at about $550/night. I see prices are lower now… must be due to the social unrest.
The airport in Donetsk was downright scary. The terminal for domestic flights was hideous, run down. Everywhere I looked, the poverty was terrible. There are nicer areas, but a lot of people are surviving on almost nothing.
A socialist paradise – at night:

What’s that bright spot…the light bulb at the ‘presidential estate’ or whatever it’s called?
Perhaps that is the prison within the nation that is a prison–you want to light up your maximum security prison to keep the dangerous ones from escaping!
For whatever reason, communism and socialism just don’t work. And they have been around a lot longer than Karl Marx. And now the American Democratic Party is essentially a communistic party. http://thepeoplescube.com/current-truth/communists-sue-democratic-party-for-stealing-platform-t5149.html
Speaking of the Communist Party platform, here are the ten planks from the Communist Manifesto:
1.Abolition of property in land and application of all rents of land to public purposes.
2.A heavy progressive or graduated income tax.
3.Abolition of all right of inheritance.
4.Confiscation of the property of all emigrants and rebels.
5.Centralisation of credit in the hands of the State, by means of a national bank with State capital and an exclusive monopoly.
6.Centralisation of the means of communication and transport in the hands of the State.
7.Extension of factories and instruments of production owned by the State; the bringing into cultivation of waste-lands, and the improvement of the soil generally in accordance with a common plan.
8.Equal liability of all to labour. Establishment of industrial armies, especially for agriculture.
9.Combination of agriculture with manufacturing industries; gradual abolition of the distinction between town and country, by a more equitable distribution of the population over the country.
10.Free education for all children in public schools. Abolition of children’s factory labour in its present form and combination of education with industrial production

So, what’s left to do?
American Progressives did RTFM.
I took a trip to Moscow in 1975 and got to see the great communist power at its best as Moscow was a show place. The signs by the airport touting the greatness of the Soviet Union were all in English! I guess the Russians knew better already.
When people complain about the American “police state” or “militarization of American police” my first question is “what are YOU talking about.” I’ve been in several countries that were really police states or that used military forces to impose “order” upon rebellious populations. East Germany used to be the showcase of Communism–if you think the lines at Disneyland are bad, try any nation using a central planning committee to determine how much bread is produced for domestic consumption.
I feared to chat with people in real police states because the people I talked to might vanish, be tortured and killed because I “conspired to harm the government” with those victims. Usually I was safe because I had Uncle Sam looking out for me–as long as I didn’t do stupid. As a tourist I was on my own–but fortunately I managed to avoid getting into trouble.
South Korea in the Seventies was still a police state. Japan is a police state. England is trying to become a “workers’ paradise” police state, but so far hasn’t been able to pull it off. Just imagine an entire nation under the rules of “airport security” and you have a better idea of a police state.
Put another way–if you can complain about a police state, you aren’t in one yet.
Our goal is to make sure the rules of “airport security” do not expand to the rest of the country by shining a glaring light on the examples.
I am old enough to see the slow advance of “creeping police state” here in the USA and it scares the daylights out of me.
If you read what the good Senator Claire McCaskill is saying and compare it with the record (many of the “one officer cities” actually have as many as 50 officers now) you might come to my conclusion: the imposition of political commissars in every law enforcement agency to provide that “lick of oversight.” Of course, these commissars will have to come from the Planters’ Party–the majority political party in the USA.
http://www.usatoday.com/story/news/politics/2014/09/09/senate-ferguson-police-militarization/15342449/
As for bayonets–M7 or M9? I ask because the more-expensive M9 also functions as insulated wire cutters. I’d rather have real wire cutters myself. Bayonets used to be “crowd control” for military personnel engaged in riot control duties–contain riots? That’s madness itself. Riots are out of control. And the Democratic Party keeps saying “nyet” to less-lethal riot weapon development.
What is “militarized police” a dog whistle for? Is this just another slam of police in general because the dominant party hates competition? The Planters’ Party is on record as hating soldiers–something about the military vote keeping Lincoln in office during 1864? Perhaps it was forcing the Planters’ Party to respect black civil rights following the Civil War. After World War One and World War Two the dominant political party couldn’t demobilize the wartime military fast enough. Besides, Americans have a love/hate affair with the military–especially so-called pacifists (the ones that pelt police with rocks, burn down buildings, and worse in the name of Peace).
Yes, police are a problem–but it is one of rot at the top–at the political top. Look up a copy of both the 1940 USMC “Small Wars Manual” and the current Field Manual 3-24, Counterinsurgency. Both are available on-line and free as public documents. It will be an effort, but when you read how unsuitable “line combat units” are for counterinsurgency operations, it might clue you in on how unsuitable soldiers are as constabulary. But wait–the 330 Marines who landed on Haiti on 28 July 1915 established a civilian constabulary as one of their first acts–and the Haitian constabulary was above politics for a while, beyond corruption–as long as Marine Corps officers ran the program. This was part of the counterinsurgency program–establish a civilian police force to keep order. Why were Marines able to make it work–but in the hands of the local political machine their cop shops became corrupt and incompetent?
Senator McCaskill could be reacting to a revolt of western state county sheriffs who declared that they’d refuse to enforce “illegal gun laws.” http://www.nytimes.com/2013/12/16/us/sheriffs-refuse-to-enforce-laws-on-gun-control.html?pagewanted=all&_r=0
The comparison of us to them is apples to oranges.
All that matters is the comparison of what we are vs. what have become vs. where is the end?
We are living in a far more militarized police state then we ever have.
We are the frog is the warming pot.
Yes, we are, but the comparison to them matters, too. It shows the end state. If people don’t know what the Progressives want to do, they don’t oppose them enough while there is time. All Americans need to RTFM. The Progressives did.
Speaking of RTFM, a recent survey of the US Congress says that 80% of our Senators and Representatives have NEVER read the Constitution. How about that–another job I’m overqualified for! Or the survey was wrong. I can’t find that survey on-line.
I don’t know how to design a survey to get real data. Members of Congress would only confess under duress but waterboarding them during questioning is unconstitutional. They could also plead the Fifth.
We’ll never know but there is a trail of statements and acts that supports the notion. Also, Congress aside, it’s documented that Liberals tried to read the Constitution but were confused and bewildered by it:
On the other hand, there is evidence of profound understanding of the text. Congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee (D-Texas) thought the United States and its Constitution were 400 years old but she knows that we have
That’s pretty good stuff for a Member of Congress. One can tell she went to Yale and the University of Virginia Law School.

Colorado Wellington says:….
And we have these morons LEADING US….
(Goes and pounds head on wall…)
Please…SJL can raise the collective IQ of a phone booth by leaving it.
living in #Failifornia, i’ve met plenty of communists, socialists, greens (watermelons, as i call them) and every other flavor of ignorant fascist scumbag you can think of, and a few it never occurred to you might exist.
hell, i have an American flag that i took away from one young idiot at a demonstration back in the 80’s.
the YCP decided to hold a protest in Leimert Park in the Crenshaw district of South Central LA, apparently to demonstrate solidarity with oppressed minorities or some such. (Reagan was President then)
this scrawny teenager in a commie shirt was dragging the flag back and forth along the ground, throwing it in the air and letting it fall, etc. i walked up, grabbed it off the ground and started to walk off with it, folding it as i went.
“Hey, that’s mine!” he said… the look on his face when i told him that, as a good communist, he should know that there was no such thing as personal property, and that i was taking it to where it could do more for the proletariat than in his hands, was priceless. he was also speechless.
i got in my car and drove off.
That is priceless.
Maybe we should all suggest to the good commies marching in NYC on September 21st that if Al The Gorical is such a good commie he should share all his millions and his homes and property with the poor. Same with Bill and Hitlery Clinton, George Soros, Ted Turner and All the rest of the demiRat Progressives….
The libertarians like the Kochs brothers and the republicans get to keep their millions.
Freedom of religion Doncha know.
I love your story, red. I’m a sucker for movie scenes where someone beats a villain over the head with his own stick. Real life even more.
The plant I had worked in had just closed because of the “PLASTIC IS EVIL!’ campaign that sprang out of nowhere (Actually it was the revenge of Shell Oil via WWF against S. Robert Blair President and CEO of Alberta Gas Ethylene Company Ltd and later Novacor.)
I couple weeks after I was laided off, I was at a SF Conference in Boston MA, where an Activist was holding forth on the evils of plastics to a rapt audience. Needless to say I was NOT please to hear the lies she was spouting. So I walked up to her and demanded her car and house keys, her blouse and her shoes. When she wanted to know why, I said they are all made of plastics and she needed to put her money where her mouth was before spouting off. The crowd (of progressives no less) laughed themselves sick.
Love it. Need more of that.
Here’s a silly question regarding the patrolling of American airports with National Guardsmen after September 11, 2001: which were more polite; Guardsmen or TSA security officers?
The National Guard was federalized immediately following 9/11 and patrolled airports as late as 2009. Mostly it was eyewash–most “security” is illusion. I speak from 25 years experience in the commercial security field, and from a 27 year military career.
Prior to SWAT and “militarized police” there were special police squads–riot police, stake-out teams, high-risk warrant service raid teams. Still, when rioting broke out the National Guard was called up by the governor. Often, neighboring states contributed individual Guardsmen or entire units. Still happens today. It was part of the 1903 Dick Act. Prior to the Dick Act, the federal 6th Cavalry was called out during the Johnson County War in April 1892. Then there was 24 September 1957 when President Eisenhower used the 101st Airborne Division to escort nine black children to school in Little Rock while federalizing the Arkansas National Guard.
Using soldiers as police didn’t always have good results: Ludlow Massacre. Bonus Army Riots. Need I go on?
But I can make the point that the Democratic Party using a demonized scarecrow called “militarized police” is barking up the wrong tree. Look at the historical record. Perhaps if we rid our nation’s police of Democratic Party apparatchiks we can curb police excesses. Look at the historical record. When the US Army was replaced by Bureau of Indian Affairs, the Native Americans suffered more from Indian Agents than from Army officers. Why’s that? I know how crass and corrupt military officers can be. Why are civilian “agents” worse?
And what will that do when the entire United States is administered by something like the old corrupt Bureau of Indian Affairs?
So, did you feel safer with under-trained National Guardsmen or with the new, vitamin fortified, government-approved, highly educated Transportation Security Administration? The latter is a non-military CIVILIAN organization–they do wear uniforms, but so do Boy Scouts and Little League baseball teams. It takes more than clothes to be “military.”
“…I know how crass and corrupt military officers can be. Why are civilian “agents” worse?…”
Attitude and aptitude. The military in the USA are in it to do a job. A job that is dangerous and could get you killed. Civilian “agents” are bureaucrats often appointed as ‘payback’ for political favors and corrupt from the very start.
The military is ‘up or out’ so the peter principal is kept to a minimum through rifting . The bureaucrats are in forever witness Hansen who did not leave the NASA Goddard Institute for Space Studies until age 72.
And lastly, during wartime there is always the well placed bullet in the back. One of the officers my EX knew got shot in the back on three separate tours to ‘Nam.
Mouth, meet foot.
Your comment baffles me–can you put it in context?
Mr. GOPBSBusters just placed his foot firmly into his mouth.
I used to work at an Airport when the Iron Curtain was still in place. When we had the Eastern Bloc national airlines land, like Aviogenex and their TU 154’s. They used to have an airline representative who dealt with the handling agent, he thought he had to bribe everyone by giving things like cartons of juice from the Aircraft. The state of the aircraft’s tyres was laughable, you could see the white threaded patches where they’d all worn. The pilots used to stock up with chocolate and cereals, when they stayed overnight, bless them.
Never witnessed misery and oppression such as I did in six weeks in 1968 travelling from Leningrad to Sochi in a Bedford Dormobile and a Morris Minor Convertible.
Never met a real Communist eh, Steve?
I met quite a few when I travelled behind the Iron Curtain in the mid-1960s.
You could easily tell the Communists, they were the ones in the big black cars – extremely poor ripoffs of US limos – using the Zim lanes, buying Western goods in the Partei retail outlets and eating in the extremely high class restaurants.
All the rest were the proletariat, they stood in queues for loaves of bread and they rode bicycles, mopeds and cheap motorcycles if they were lucky or occasionally struggled to keep a Trabant running – premix 2-stroke and oily spark plugs – if they were very lucky indeed and had accrued enough brownie points.
The most striking thing was the remarkable ring of fortifications at the border, goon towerd with searchlights and machine guns all within sight of each other, multiple barbed wire fences with minefields, dog runs and raked sand all of which were clearly not designed to keep us filthy Capitalists out of the Socialist Workers’ Paradise, but to keep the Socialist Workers in.
Very indicative, that.
Curiously, I visited Franco’s Fascist Spain around the same time, and whereas there was considerably more real poverty and massive social deprivation in such areas as health care, there wasn’t an elaborate fence round it…
Socialist Workers = SLAVES (or serfs if you wish to be kind)
Communists = SLAVE MASTERS (or Aristocracy if you wish to be kind)
In his book, “The Prince,” Machiavelli warned that if the Prince feared invasion, DON’T build castles–but when the Prince feared his own people, castles were a must. I found it funny that there was a double fortified border around North Korea–both fortification belts facing IN towards North Korea, keeping North Koreans from leaving. Know much about military fortifications? The communist fortified borders are facing the wrong direction for keeping people out–except the Chinese-North Korean border.
What is GOBSlob’s point? If we had personal experince with the USSR we’d realize that it wasn’t so bad?
The failures and ultimate demise of the USSR is fairly well documented. Heck, the USSR was such a POS it collapsed. It could have went under sooner without Ol’ Jimmy Carter subsidizing them with grain shipments.
What is GOBSlob’s point? If we had personal experince with the USSR we’d realize that it wasn’t so bad?
>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
I think GOBSlob’s point is he is a completely brainwashed DemiRat who would run screaming if he had been a ‘Socialist Worker’ in the real Soviet Union. That is run screaming for the few seconds before he was shot in the back.
The little twerp got into a wrong guy’s face and got bitch-slapped but you ask a good question, Joe.
Is he saying that one has to meet real Commies or Nazis before passing a judgement? I met enough of both over there and I would slap the twerp like Goddard did because the stupidity of the attack made it easy but it’s not the only way.
I like telling the lefty morons in Boulder they should visit at least once the library they built bridging Boulder Creek before a flood takes it. Even in Progressive Boulder’s library there are plenty of books describing their dream Communist paradise.
I have been to non-tourist Russia. This guy does not know what he is talking about.
One of my cousins was a nuclear physicist and he worked in the USSR in the 60’s and married there. They let him out but not his wife. He died in London around 25 years later having been pushed in front of a tube train.
And his work in the UK ( UKAEA ) on the French glassification process is now residing in Russia….

I spend most of a decade on Nazi Watch in an organization called US Army Europe keeping the National Socialist Germany Workers Party from returning to power. One thing I learned to listen for was “der Horst Wessel Lied.”
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DYIU09o1gsI&bpctr=1410904675
Where there was Horst Wessel, Nazis were near.
As for that other Progressive religious hymn: http://www.bing.com/videos/search?q=Internationale+English&Form=VQFRVP#view=detail&mid=540D1D803BFF74CB0BDA540D1D803BFF74CB0BDA
The video depicts a “peaceful demonstration;” don’t you dare call it “riot” or these “pacifists” will go medieval all over you! Multiple editions of The Internationale exist.
Most Americans won’t recognize either. Thank a teacher! On the other hand, thank my brother and sister veterans that you are not required to rise and salute when either is played under pain of torture and death.
