US Temperatures Have Plummeted Over The Past 15 Years

The only year Trenberth sees is 2012, because his funding depends on not correctly interpreting the climate.

  1. The Iconoclast says:

    Everything depends on it.

“Another thing I must point out is that you cannot prove a vague theory wrong. If the guess that you make is poorly expressed and rather vague, and the method that you use for figuring out the consequences is a little vague – you are not sure, and you say, ‘I think everything’s right because it’s all due to so and so, and such and such do this and that more or less, and I can sort of explain how this works’…then you see that this theory is good, because it cannot be proved wrong! Also if the process of computing the consequences is indefinite, then with a little skill any experimental results can be made to look like the expected consequences.” — Feynman, “The Character of Physical Law” 1992 pp.158-159

    • Chewer says:

No theories are involved, AGW is a “working hypothesis” and has zero chance of reaching the pinnacle of human knowledge known as “scientific theory”…

  2. stpaulchuck says:

why the huge flyer at 2012?? did anyone vet the data for that year? I know a couple years ago the data “adjusters” had a small town in Wisconsin at 500 degrees. They salted the Midwest data with a couple of those to “prove” the regularly increasing temperatures due to CO2 rising. Did 2012 suffer the same “adjustments”?

  3. bit chilly says:

and it gets worse for you guys (i am not laughing,we are already there in the uk)

USA poised to follow same ruinous path

With the debacle now clear to the rest of the world, one would think other countries would sober up and be more cautious about following a similar path. They aren’t. Indeed it is truly astonishing that other countries, like the USA for example, are ignoring it all and are now attempting to put themselves on the very same ruinous path to repeat the German debacle, and to do so on an even grander scale.

    • there is no substitute for victory says:

Bit Chilly’s problem is that the UK has already hired an army of Global Warming Wardens whose job it is to run interference for Mother Nature and help show Maw Natural where she isn’t properly doing her job. It just wouldn’t do to cut this mob of Rent Seeking Government employees loose and force them to starve or find private sector work.

      • Andy Oz says:

There are plenty of jobs for the ex-govt employees out there.
        Burger flippers,
        line markers,
        paddle pop sign holders,
        garage attendants,
        fracking drillers,
        oil pipe welders,
        corn ethanol producers,
        wind farm dismantlers

        • mjc says:

You left manure loader off the list. IIt’s one they should be well qualified for.

        • Gail Combs says:

mjc, I don’t think the current batch of BureauRats is capable of out smarting a pile of manure.

(It is fun to hand a manure fork to a citified teenager and watch him chase the manure all over creation without ever getting it onto the fork.)

        • The French farmers are a sorted lot but I just love it when they protest, especially when they go to town with their manure spreaders.

On the ‘wind farm dismantlers’… I just wish there were a way of recycling all those windmills into giant ferris wheels for all the kiddies to enjoy.

        • Andy says:

          High sped Ferris Wheels.
Kids would be flying off in all directions as the wind picked up.
          They’d love it!

        • Andy says:

          “speed”- not sped – duh

  4. omanuel says:

You are right about one part of the problem, but the elephant is much bigger than his tail, trunk or ear:

Funding for climatologists, nuclear, solar and planetary physicists depend on not correctly interpreting the most precise measurements on the

    1. Climate
    2. Nucleus
    3. Sun and
    4. Planets

That is why NASA hide data from the 1995 Galileo probe of Jupiter, after taking $ 1 x 10^9 from the public to pay for the mission!

  5. Andy DC says:

2012 gives new meaning to the term “outlier”.

  6. Dougmanxx says:

Obviously incorrect. As we all know, it was determined in late 2013 that 2014 is the “Hottest Year Ever”.

    ….do I even need it: /sarc

  7. omanuel says:

For the UN’s latest Climate Conference opening in NYC on Monday, someone might ask exactly “Who won WWII and formed the United Nations sixty-nine years ago?”

  8. Andy says:

Attached is an interesting US weather site.
Not sure if its really from Hawaii, but apparently the US has summer days 365 days a year!
    Who knew?

    Steven,

You should keep an eye on Ken’s Kingdom. An Australian site checking BOM data adjustments.

His preliminary results are startling ….
