April 19, 1995 was one of the worst days in modern US history.
Disrupting the Borg is expensive and time consuming!

YES AND SO WAS WACO. BOTH WERE CRAZY.
Insanity and violence have been induced by 70 years of government LIES:
1. Whole milk, eggs, butter and meat are dangerous
2. Carbon dioxide (CO2) is a dangerous air pollutant
3. The Sun – a variable star – is a steady heat source
4.
The Islamic state terror network had its fingerprints all over this one too. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Third_Terrorist
Much of this data was buried by intelligence services hoping to ferret out more data, but it appears to have been bungled leading to 9/11/2001. When I was connected to the intelligence services the Islamic terror network was of big concern.
You need to watch the documentary A Noble Lie written and produced by Holland Vandennieuwenhof and then make up your own mind. This was a gov’t inside job sanctioned from the TOP to stir up the sheeple for another boogie man justification to eliminate our liberty. They killed innocent citizens to carry out their agenda both here and abroad to this day. RIP to those who were sacrificed to those evil and disgusting rulers who will think nothing of snuffing out you or your family maintain their power and bloodlust.
It is also my mother’s birthday. Those two attacks diminshed her birthday celebrations a bit, and the anniversary of my father’;s passing is later this week.
But mom is still doing well and I will be calling her in about an hour to wish her a happy birthday, which I hope she enjoys, in spite of all the suffering of this week’s anniversaries.
April 19 ? Don’t tell me we have the same mother.

1995…
That’s the year our climate change pushing Republican friend Chris Christie was also pushing gun control measures in NJ. And just a couple days ago Christie came out and said Republicans need to have a “balanced” approach to gun control. Hotair covered that yesterday.
My hotair comment:
The Free Republic thread on this very HA post is here: http://freerepublic.com/focus/f-gop/3280740/posts
In that Free Republic thread somnone drudges up a graphic of an old 1995 ad from Christie where Christie is mocking his opponent for wanting to repeal the “assualt” weapons ban in NJ.
Here’s the 1995 ad:
http://i839.photobucket.com/albums/zz314/Umbrarian/Silly%20People/ChrisChristieOnGuns.png
Any thought that Christie is much different at all on gun control than a Dem has to be dismissed. In fact, with a Republican as himself at the helm, Christie would probably be able to push through his “balanced” gun control measures where a Democrat would fail (because Christie would entice a minority but enough Republicans in congress to join him).
Plus here’s Christie a couple of years ago sounding like John Kerry ranting for 3 minutes on the perils of climate change:

The religion of peace commemorated our national tragedy, or maybe it was just more BAU…
A video purporting to show the killing of Ethiopian Christians by Islamic State-affiliated militants in Libya has been released online.
http://www.gannett-cdn.com/-mm-/dbb1295078c95e03d73488283453206579aa49d0/c=229-0-1648-1067&r=x404&c=534×401/local/-/media/2015/04/19/USATODAY/USATODAY/635650275014784073-AP-Mideast-Libya-Islamic-State.jpg
The 29-minute video appears to show militants holding two groups of captives, one by an affiliate in eastern Libya known as Barka Province and the other by the Fazzan Province, an affiliate in the south.
A masked fighter wielding a pistol says Christians must convert to Islam or pay a special tax prescribed by the Quran, before the captives in the south are shown being shot dead and the captives in the east are beheaded on a beach.

As an aside, the Middle East was mainly Christian and Jewish 1500 years ago, after the apostles had traveled throughout the region spreading the Gospel, and remained so until the public relations crew of the religion of peace offered everyone a choice of conversion to Islam, or an early meeting with their maker
The PATRIOT Act was more a child of Oklahoma City than of 9/11.
http://www.history.com/this-day-in-history/george-w-bush-signs-the-patriot-act
When did Congress ever act with dispatch? The Health Care Bill was decades in the making. So was the Assault Weapon Ban, passed in haste in 1994–so urgent was its passage that the sponsors agreed to a sunset clause that automatically repealed that ban in 2004. The Warren Commission convened about the same amount of time that the PATRIOT Act flew through Congress, but the Warren Commission Report took something like eight months. One reason for the many Union defeats at the beginning of the Civil War was that Congress and the President didn’t do ANYTHING about the rebellious southern states until after Lincoln swore in–and then he had to play catch-up for almost two years.
In contrast, World War One was preceded by a secret war for almost three years under Woodrow Wilson–he couldn’t take any measures until after winning re-election in 1916 and shortly after being sworn in for his second term launched war on a surprised American public. That wasn’t enough time–something like three weeks between Wilson’s second inauguration and the USA declaring war on the Central Powers.
Or how about World War Two? The Great War left a bad taste in everybody’s mouth–though for different reasons. The peacetime draft and industrial build-up began in 1940–along with a secret naval war against Germany–and FDR was very careful to keep the build-up low-key until after winning re-election to an unprecedented fourth term as President of the United States of America. After that, the target date for war was March 1942, no later than 90 days after that. American build-up for World War Two began with war plans in the closing days of World War One.
No, Congress emulates melting glaciers–slow! The PATRIOT Act had been ready before George W. Bush took office. Oklahoma City was one reason.
Why not make America rebellion proof by such measures as the Bill of Rights? Rebellion is a last, desperate act doomed to failure. Rebellion is the best of worst options sometimes–unfortunately.
Most of our ‘Landmark’ legislation is written by ‘lobbyists’ well before the American public is even aware that there is an issue. Then a ‘Crisis’ is created and the legislation is rushed through. No way the Congress critters in DC write the 1,000s of pages of law we are saddled with. It is all a dog and pony show for the sheeple. The Staffers move from one politician to the next and never leave the Capital. It is they and the lobbyists who write our laws not our ‘elected’ puppets.
Ban lobbyists and restrict law makers to one receptionist who is only allowed to take calls and DC would grind to a halt.
And now for the shocking truth about who actually wrote Obamacare. After all the secrecy surrounding Obamacare is lifting, we can finally put a name to this cruel lie. The man’s name who wrote a great deal of the scourge that we call Obamacare, is convicted felon, Robert Creamer.
Creamer is now credited for writing 628 pages of Obamacare while he was in prison. Creamer is a senior Democratic operative who defrauded banks in order to keep his Marxist/Communist community organization afloat by engaging in 16 counts of bank and tax fraud. Creamer’s book is entitled, Stand Up Straight: How Progressives Can Win.
http://www.thecommonsenseshow.com/2013/12/02/the-shocking-truth-about-who-wrote-obamacare/
I guess Creaner had the time, so to speak.
It would be appreciated if the conspiracy theorists might respect an actual event instead of grandstanding their own pet theories. Shame on you.
Seconded. (Plus it hurts our credibility)
Bob? Is that you?
My brother was 3 blocks west of the Murrah bldg. His building was seriously damaged but no fatalities. I took my ASVAB at the Murrah bldg in 75. Went to school with Judge Murrah’s grandson. McVeigh wasn’t alone. Nobody can pull that kind of thing off alone. But in no way does that mean it was a govt conspiracy. Stupid govt people might have missed a lot of things, but that implies incompetence, not conspiracy. This isn’t an abstraction for me. It was personal. OKC was homegrown. 911 wasn’t.
The conspiracy, as in all of the Clinton “affairs”, is found in the cover-up.
The government/shadow government must be the first suspect in every high profile terrorist attack. You and Gator69 fall for these psychological operations easily.
Why are the “victims” in orange jump suits so submissive if they’re about to be murdered? It’s a strange theatre designed for you War On Terror types to get all angry and motivated at.
Yes, let’s ask questions. Why were these people so submissive?
https://coloradowellington.files.wordpress.com/2015/04/transport-trains.jpg
You fell for that again? 😉
They didn’t know they were being murdered, and they probably weren’t slated to be at that point in time of the WW2. On the other hand, if you have a knife at your throat the intent is obvious. You saying you would kneel submissively too, while your throat was slit?
Oh look! The new generation of deniers of the new holocaust. You must be so proud of yourself.
These men who are about to be slaughtered, are devout Christians who chose death over conversion. They have made peace with themslves and and their God, and know there is absolutely nothing they can do to stop their imminent death. Struggling would only result in unnecessary suffering on their part, before what is hopefully a quick death.
If you are so cock sure this is not real, go to an ISIS camp, declare your saviour is Jesus Christ, or STFU.
I’ve had an angry large man go after me in a confined hallway with a 10” chef’s knife, I’ve had men holding me from behind while another threatened me from the front, I’ve been attacked from behind while walking half naked and barefoot to the barrack showers, I’ve been violently attacked by a passerby on a sidewalk and I went through other similarly unpleasant moments in my life. I remember the circumstances and my reactions at the time quite well. I have absolutely no idea what I would do in a situation you describe under circumstances you only speculate about.
It is one thing to ask questions but quite another to pretend we know the answers.
Be skeptical of what you think you know. Be doubly skeptical of what you think you know about yourself.
Yes, I ‘fall’ for well documented killings. And you are off your meds.
Your statement is outlandish. The first suspect in any situation is the perpetrator(s). Unless you have an agenda to sell.
Have you read his “All manned space travel is fake” crap yet?
War Plan Rainbow was written prior to Pearl Harbor:
Rainbow plans[edit]
Japan had used the opportunity afforded by World War I to establish itself as a major power and a strategic rival in the Pacific Ocean. Following World War I, most American officials and planners considered a war with Japan to be highly likely. It was reverted when the civilian government temporarily halted the program of military expansion, which was not to resume until 1931. War Plan Orange was the longest and most-detailed of the colored plans.
However, following the events in Europe in 1938 and 1939 (the Anschluss, Munich Agreement, German occupation of Czechoslovakia, and Molotov–Ribbentrop Pact), American war planners realized that the United States faced the possibility of war on multiple fronts against a coalition of enemies. To that end, the Joint Planning Board developed a new series of war plans, the “Rainbow” plans[6] – the term being a play on the multiple “color” plans that had been drawn up previously.
Rainbow 1 was a plan for a defensive war to protect the United States and the Western Hemisphere north of ten degrees [south] latitude. In such a war, the United States was assumed to be without major allies.
Rainbow 2 was identical to Rainbow 1, except for assuming that the United States would be allied with France and the United Kingdom.
Rainbow 3 was a repetition of the Orange plan, with the provision that the hemisphere defense would first be secured, as provided in Rainbow 1.
Rainbow 4 was based on the same assumptions as Rainbow 1, but extended the American mission to include defense of the entire Western hemisphere.
Rainbow 5, destined to be the basis for American strategy in World War II, assumed that the United States was allied with Britain and France and provided for offensive operations by American forces in Europe, Africa, or both.[7]
The assumptions and plans for Rainbow 5 were discussed extensively in the Plan Dog memo, which concluded ultimately that the United States would adhere to a Europe first strategy in World War II.

I’m claiming that our Congress doesn’t move rapidly enough for the events of September 11, 2001 to result in the USA PATRIOT Act of October 26, 2001. I’m claiming that the USA PATRIOT Act was evolutionary and not born on the spur of the moment.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Patriot_Act
The USA PATRIOT Act is an Act of Congress that was signed into law by President George W. Bush on October 26, 2001. Its title is a ten-letter backronym (USA PATRIOT) that stands for “Uniting and Strengthening America by Providing Appropriate Tools Required to Intercept and Obstruct Terrorism Act of 2001”.[1]
On May 26, 2011, President Barack Obama signed the PATRIOT Sunsets Extension Act of 2011, a four-year extension of three key provisions in the USA PATRIOT Act:[2] roving wiretaps, searches of business records (the “library records provision”), and conducting surveillance of “lone wolves”—individuals suspected of terrorist-related activities not linked to terrorist groups.[3]
The “lone wolf” has been with us for a long time:
The Bath School disaster was a series of violent attacks perpetrated by Andrew Kehoe on May 18, 1927, in Bath Township, Michigan, that killed 38 elementary school children and six adults and injured at least 58 other people.[Note 1] Kehoe first killed his wife, firebombed his farm, and detonated a major explosion in the Bath Consolidated School, before committing suicide by detonating a final explosion in his truck. It is currently the deadliest mass murder to take place at a school in United States history.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bath_School_disaster
Charles Joseph Whitman (June 24, 1941 – August 1, 1966) was an American engineering student at the University of Texas and former U.S. Marine. Whitman committed Mass Murder on August 1, 1966.
In the early morning hours of August 1, Whitman murdered his wife and mother in their homes. Later that day, he went to the campus of the University of Texas at Austin where, over an approximate 90 to 95 minute period, he killed 16 people and wounded 32 others in a mass shooting in and around the Tower. Whitman shot and killed three people inside the university’s tower and eleven others after firing at random from the 28th-floor observation deck of the Main Building. Whitman was shot and killed by Austin police officer Houston McCoy.

Plans made in advance are not “conspiracy,” but putting Rainbow 5 or the USA PATRIOT Act into action required more than “business as usual.”
My brother who now works at NASA, was a relatively high level planner at the Pentagon when it was attacked on 911. His office contained a three lock box ,into which went all classified info any time he left his desk, for even a second.
He has described to me the fact that our military has plans on the shelf, written and awaiting virtually any and all possible scenarios. You are right in that they do not have to convene a committee, and make plans once an event has occurred, they simply pull a binder off a shelf and start at page one.
Speaking of plans, I was working anti-terrorist security in Saudi Arabia a long time ago. I ran across a Jane’s pocket book on field expedient chemical and biological defense and shared it with my operations manager–encouraged him to write up a chemical and biological defense annex. I offered to write the annex myself and have him edit it, but he took three weeks and then returned my book. A few months later 9/11 happened and it seemed as if everybody had lost their minds. About a week after 9/11 my manager was in his office trying desperately to generate a document. I asked him about it, and when I found out that he was trying to come up with a chemical and biological defense annex, I suggested that he look in his files–he already had it. It was also on his computer–but in the panic he had forgotten. He went home quite happy for the first time in a week.
I was working anti-terrorist security in Kuwait when Timothy McVeigh blew down the Oklahoma City Federal Building. How’s that for an alibi? Before leaving for nearly a decade in the Middle East I wasn’t happy with the lack of simple security measures at federal buildings throughout the USA. Things have changed, but then incidents such as this still happen: http://www.reviewjournal.com/news/court-officer-suspect-killed-federal-courthouse-shooting
The gunman who opened fire in the federal courthouse this morning, killing a security officer and wounding a deputy U.S. marshal, was Johnny Lee Wicks, according to a law enforcement source.
In 2008 Wicks filed a federal race discrimination complaint against a regional commissioner with the Social Security Division. Wicks’ complaint stemmed from an encounter he had with the regional commissioner at the social security office after learning his monthly social security payment would be reduced.
The security officer killed in the gunbattle was 72-year-old Stan Cooper, a retired Las Vegas police officer who worked for a federal contractor providing security at the courthouse, according to a source.
The gunman opened fire about 8 a.m. inside the lobby of the Lloyd George U.S. Courthouse, 333 Las Vegas Blvd. South.
I have refused to return to the city. Most major cities in the US have become ganglands and places where idiots rage at strangers. The major city nearest me, where I used to work, has at least one gangland shooting every day, usually three or four. The “knockout game” was real popular for awhile, but now it is just BAU, and the media has stopped calling it that.
I feel sorry for the police and their families who must wade through that human garbage on a daily basis.
I keep trying to convince my brother to get out of the DC area, but his wife wants to stay, and so they will remain there.
The county in which I live has had one homicide in over fifteen years, and that was a mentally ill son who shot his father with a hunting rifle. All of my neighbors shoot recreationally, and for hunting, and I like to shoot clays from my back patio. It is common to hear gunfire here, but not sirens. 😉
There was one officially recognized conspiracy in the Oklahoma City Bombing:
Timothy McVeigh, a former U.S. Army soldier, is convicted on 15 counts of murder and conspiracy for his role in the 1995 terrorist bombing of the Alfred P. Murrah Federal Building in Oklahoma City.
On April 19, 1995, just after 9 a.m., a massive truck bomb exploded outside the Alfred P. Murrah Federal Building. The blast collapsed the north face of the nine-story building, instantly killing
http://www.history.com/this-day-in-history/mcveigh-convicted-for-oklahoma-city-bombing
Conspiracy requires more than one warm body. You cannot conspire with your own multiple personalities. I think that conspiring with the dead or with non-humans (dogs, horses, the snake in the reptile house) won’t count either. Timothy McVeigh was not the only person convicted of conspiracy, and McVeigh was executed for his crimes.
So, does McVeigh and company qualify in your book as a “conspiracy?”
For what it’s worth, April 19, 1993 was the date that the Waco siege ended–that’s why McVeigh chose that day to commit his outrage.
April 19, 1775 was also the day of the Shot Heard Around the World. Patriots Day.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Battles_of_Lexington_and_Concord
Pick any day and look up the events on that date. Expand your mind.
Dispelling the image of Timothy McVeigh as the bombing mastermind, Nichols resolutely confirmed that the decorated Gulf War veteran had numerous liaisons with men of Arab extraction, boldly proclaiming, “McVeigh talked about Middle Easterners on a number of occasions, and quite frequently,” but Nichols claimed that he “could not remember the context of those discussions.” Once again, Nichols refused to reveal the third terrorist, terrified of retribution.
This incriminating declaration from the country’s most notorious mass murderer should have been the FBI’s top investigative priority. After all, the implications were enormous. This was the first time the FBI learned directly from the Oklahoma City bomber that John Doe 2 exists. While Nichols declined to name the mystery accomplice, he dropped an unmistakable clue as to his identity when implying to the congressman that the premise of my book, The Third Terrorist, could be accurate.
Now, we connect the dots further. If McVeigh did, indeed, collaborate with Saddam Hussein’s former soldiers, then John Doe 2 has escaped justice for slaughtering 171 innocent Americans. But, not surprisingly, the FBI’s final summary of the prison interview, which was declassified and published last week, redacted Nichols’ damning statements that McVeigh associated with Middle Easterners in the very city where the terrorist bombing took place.
For 16 years, the FBI has brazenly refused to speak to two dozen Oklahomans who encountered Timothy McVeigh colluding with Iraqi ex-enemy combatants in an act of terror that murdered more civilians within our borders than all the U.S. soldiers who perished on the sands of the Persian Gulf War. Now their sworn testimonies, identifying eight specific Middle Eastern collaborators, have been validated as “correct,” ironically, through the unwitting confession of McVeigh’s partner in crime, Terry Nichols.
http://www.americanthinker.com/articles/2011/04/confession_of_the_oklahoma_cit.html
McVeigh’s defense attorney claims Nichols met with Iraqi intelligence operative Ramzi Yousef in the Philippines, and learned his bomb making skills from the Iraqi’s.

I have seen Ms Davis and others in the video interviewed. And the story has real legs, and it isn’t crazy to think that the same people who bombed the WTC twice, and who have been caught repeatedly attempting and making such strikes, could have had some connection.
We can safely say they executed the right guy, but the rest is still an open question.
Colorado Wellington says: April 20, 2015 at 3:35 pm,
Thanks for recounting that story; must have been harrowing. You’re right I couldn’t have imagined how I would have reacted. Anyway, take a look at these 3 videos of tower demolitions on 9/11:
Tower 1:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EF8wFieRdBo
Tower 2:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=goGGQhhTcDY
&
Building 7:

Building 7 was not hit by a plane, but was severely damaged by the collapse of the towers.
Next you will be claiming we never landed on the Moon and all manned space travel is fake. Oh, wait…
All manned space travel is fake. The real reason we don’t have a moon base, a floating space dock, and a Jetsons-like future is that we can’t even get into low earth orbit. The International Space Station is a hoax faked with tricks that simulate zero gravity.
Some shots are taken in an airplane simulating zero gravity, other scenes are taken with CGI and suspension of the astronauts by wires in front of a blue screen. Space walks are faked in a custom built swimming pool.
When astronauts go to the ISS they actually hide in the astronaut facility Star City Moscow. All manned space programs are run by the government. There are some civilian space agencies, usually run by ex-govt employees, but they don’t do much in space.
It’s a govt-run hoax that started in the Cold War and strangely continues to this day. These days the Chinese are in on the space hoax too with the Shenzhou reentry vehicle and the fake moon probe Jade Rabbit. Manned space reentry vehicles would be destroyed by the huge heat of reentry; the pressure; and would be aerodynamically unstable.
Even space-going ICBMs are a hoax. The detached shock wave, which supposedly solved the reentry problems, is a fictional technology of the space race invented by Harvey Allen.
Based on my blog series Space Reentry Vehicles
http://www.planetaryvision.blogspot.com/search/label/apollo%20moon%20hoax
Yes, all manned space travel is fake in my opinion, from Yuri Gagarin to the International Space Station. Manned space travel is a hoax because space reentry vehicles would burn up during earth reentry due to friction with the earth atmosphere.
That’s all we need to hear.
Thanks! You are dismissed, completely.
Building 7 is a head-scratcher.
FACT: Many conspiracy theorists point to FEMA’s preliminary report, which said there was relatively light damage to WTC 7 prior to its collapse. With the benefit of more time and resources, NIST researchers now support the working hypothesis that WTC 7 was far more compromised by falling debris than the FEMA report indicated. “The most important thing we found was that there was, in fact, physical damage to the south face of building 7,” NIST’s Sunder tells PM. “On about a third of the face to the center and to the bottom—approximately 10 stories—about 25 percent of the depth of the building was scooped out.” NIST also discovered previously undocumented damage to WTC 7’s upper stories and its southwest corner.
NIST investigators believe a combination of intense fire and severe structural damage contributed to the collapse, though assigning the exact proportion requires more research. But NIST’s analysis suggests the fall of WTC 7 was an example of “progressive collapse,” a process in which the failure of parts of a structure ultimately creates strains that cause the entire building to come down. Videos of the fall of WTC 7 show cracks, or “kinks,” in the building’s facade just before the two penthouses disappeared into the structure, one after the other. The entire building fell in on itself, with the slumping east side of the structure pulling down the west side in a diagonal collapse.
According to NIST, there was one primary reason for the building’s failure: In an unusual design, the columns near the visible kinks were carrying exceptionally large loads, roughly 2000 sq. ft. of floor area for each floor. “What our preliminary analysis has shown is that if you take out just one column on one of the lower floors,” Sunder notes, “it could cause a vertical progression of collapse so that the entire section comes down.”
There are two other possible contributing factors still under investigation: First, trusses on the fifth and seventh floors were designed to transfer loads from one set of columns to another. With columns on the south face apparently damaged, high stresses would likely have been communicated to columns on the building’s other faces, thereby exceeding their load-bearing capacities.
Second, a fifth-floor fire burned for up to 7 hours. “There was no firefighting in WTC 7,” Sunder says. Investigators believe the fire was fed by tanks of diesel fuel that many tenants used to run emergency generators. Most tanks throughout the building were fairly small, but a generator on the fifth floor was connected to a large tank in the basement via a pressurized line. Says Sunder: “Our current working hypothesis is that this pressurized line was supplying fuel [to the fire] for a long period of time.”
WTC 7 might have withstood the physical damage it received, or the fire that burned for hours, but those combined factors—along with the building’s unusual construction—were enough to set off the chain-reaction collapse.

Paul,
I’ve seen these and other videos many times over many years. I’ve read the official investigation and other analyses supporting the official version. I’ve read the speculations about other possibilities with an open mind. I examined them and I rejected them. One of my professions is engineering and I found plenty of reasons for the buildings to collapse as a result of the airliners’ attacks and subsequent damage, thermal, static and dynamic.
The null hypothesis in the case of the 9/11 Trade Center collapse is that the attack brought down the buildings. The supporters of other alternative hypotheses didn’t prove their case to me.
My brother was working at the Pentagon on 911, and lost friends that day. Aircraft parts were scattered, and the path of the low flying jumbo jet was plain to see. Light posts down, etc…
I also witnessed Apollo rocket launches in person, and my brother who now works at NASA, was associated with the shuttle program.
Paul clearly loves wild ass conspiracy theories, or hates America, or both.
He is dismissed.
I think it’s the first, not the latter. We live in challenging times.
We live in bewildering times.
Were Muslims responsible for 9/11? Yes. However this does not preclude the US government’s involvement from simply ignoring warning signs to actually aiding the Muslims or just taking advantage of the situation.
I do know the US government since then shows no real signs that they actually consider Muslims a threat. However they show every sign of considering normal Americans a very real threat.
SEE my old comment: http://chiefio.wordpress.com/2013/03/21/fixing-cyprus-a-modest-suggestion/#comment-48971
Intelligence drops the ball, and allows things to happen, it happens. Our biggest issue is our lack of humint. We pretty much got out of the business, and relied on technology, and that not onlt lead to 911, but likely OK City as well.
Entities other than our own government do attack us, it actually does happen.
What was your brother’s name who worked at the Pentagon on 911? Ha ha, c’mon it didn’t happen and you know it. Non-belief in conspiracy theories does not = I hate America. It just means I don’t believe in contrived terrorism narrative.
You’d better know what you are doing, Paul, …
http://www.artofmanliness.com/2010/10/19/how-to-wrestle-an-alligator
My father told me he and his friends used to wrestle small alligators when he was a boy growing up in Miami.
I use a nom de plume for this very reason, to protect my brother and my namesake nephew, who both work in DC for the government. I would never dream of giving a nutcase like you their names.
Dismissed.
Gator–there are a lot of very mean people in America. You are wise to keep a low profile. It isn’t just government employees in danger of losing their jobs–you could wind up being run over by somebody’s pick up truck.
Some people take their version of “reality” very seriously and will lash out to protect that “reality” from people such as yourself, from people who tell them that their emperor is wearing no clothes.
I have had death threats. There was even one nutcase that told me if Jesus were still alive, he would strangle me to death.
I use my real name when dealing directly with scientists, academics, and politicians with whom I am familiar. And I did so this past week.
The internet brings out the crazies (this site is attracting more nuts with each passing year), and my mother was worried that my brother, who has had to testify in front of congress on more than one ocassion, could get some political backlash from my work so I stopped contacting NASA grantologists completely. And to further protect family I switched to Gator (In memory of my father). My nephew, who is named after me has a fairly robust online profile, and those seeking to harm me, could mistakenly go after him instead.
I live on acreage that is well off the beaten track, and can defend myself quite well. If it were just me, I would probably use my real name. The nutjobs that would come after me would have to travel a long distance, and even then would have trouble finding my home, and they would not gain access to my property unnoticed.
But you are right, you cannot be too careful these days.
All was dark and quiet on Black Tom Island in New York Harbor, not far from the Statue of Liberty, when small fires began to burn on the night of July 30, 1916. Some guards on the island sent for the Jersey City Fire Department, but others fled as quickly as they could, and for good reason: Black Tom was a major munitions depot, with several large “powder piers.” That night, Johnson Barge No. 17 was packed with 50 tons of TNT, and 69 railroad freight cars were storing more than a thousand tons of ammunition, all awaiting shipment to Britain and France. Despite America’s claim of neutrality in World War I, it was no secret that the United States was selling massive quantities of munitions to the British.

When I hear “experts” claim that the bombing of the Marine barracks in Beirut or the Oklahoma City Federal Building Bombing were “the largest non-nuclear explosions in history” my first reaction is to ask if they learned everything they know about boom-boom from watching movies. I’ve been two miles away from a demolition pit when ten tons of discarded munitions were touched off. First, the explosion flashed and a mushroom-shaped smoke plume reached for the sky. Second, the shock wave through Mother Earth arrived before the sound. And then there was the sound. The debris from that “controlled explosion” were contained, though right after things stopped burning the demolition team swept the area to make sure nothing like stray mortar bombs had been ejected.
There was the calibration shot of 100 tons of TNT just prior to the Trinity Device’s detonation, the world’s first atomic bomb–the calibration shot was so that the people testing the plutonium bomb would have an idea of what really big explosions did.
Claims of “explosives planted on the inside” are never backed up with evidence that tons of explosives were delivered to the Murray Building and then emplaced. Where were the construction crews? That’s another pet peeve of mine–moving in (at minimum) several hundred pounds of high explosives to rig up the internal explosion and the drilling by construction crews would have created a disturbance that even government drones would have noticed. It takes time to rig up demolitions–a night might have been enough time, but would have required more than two or three guys and the janitorial staff would have noticed.
How long? Take a look at Georg Elser’s handiwork on 8 November 1939. After Elser’s bomb destroyed the Buergerbraukeller where Hitler gave his speech celebrating the anniversary of his failed Beer Hall Putsch. http://www.historyinanhour.com/2013/04/09/bombing-hitler-georg-elser/
The Gestapo tried very hard to prove conspiracy with British Intelligence–or with anybody–because no “ordinary German” could have hated Hitler so–or over a period of more than a year gathered together the necessary explosives (something like 200 pounds) and chip away a hidden compartment in a masonry pillar. Elser even disguised the access door to the bomb compartment and muffled the clockwork of his 144 hour timer with cork insulation. That’s why it took more than five years for Elser’s execution–smoking out accomplices. The Venlo Incident was a Nazi “truther” attempt to get the goods on British Intelligence.
