Back to the permanent drought of Colorado!
Disrupting the Borg is expensive and time consuming!

More rain due this weekend in Colorado. Steven (Tony) you might want to reconsider whether you really want to take your bike out for a ride. Stay inside and give the alarmists more headaches instead.
On behalf of future generations and those who have not yet awakened to the reality of George Orwell’s “1984” engulfing us today, I thank you, Steven, for having the courage to use your many talents to confront Big Brother‘s lies disguised as 97% consensus science.
Many simply give up when they discover this reality. That may contribute to the rising rate of suicides reported on another blog.
http://junkscience.com/2015/05/20/suicide-rates-up-across-the-board/
The progressives probably consider this good news. They would probably like to see that rate increase by orders of magnitude. After all we are the cause of all problems on this planet.
Oliver,
As of two months ago, the number of suicides of current and former students of mine
hit double figures. Some of whom were very close to me.
I found out that the last one
had shock therapy two years ago in an extreme effort to try to manage the depression.
Most of the people were very nice, but suffered on a regular basis and the most common
diagnosis was manic depression.
I would like to make some general conclusion, but I am finding I really can’t find any persistent commonality.
The only thing in common, is that the individuals were long time sufferers and the loved ones left behind are now the ones to suffer for a long time; and they have a real need to simply talk and reflect and then talk some more. From our standpoint, all we really do is listen.
You are astute, darrylb, a teacher that actually cares for students. Are there other teachers that would also like to teach honest science rather than consensus propaganda?
After writing “Solar Energy for Teachers,”
https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/10640850/Supplement.pdf , the need for a matrix of honest physical science papers became obvious. Do you agree?
Would you help write and edit a series of short papers on:
Particle physics for teachers
Nuclear physics for teachers
Climatology for teachers
Astronomy for teachers
Cosmology for teachers
Evolution for teachers
Geology for teachers
Etc., Etc.?
Comments/suggestions?
I agree with both comments and have friends and relatives that suffer from mental illness.
The dismay I suffered – on realizing my government is purposefully deceiving the public – convinces me society itself is mentally ill and the mentally ill have probably partially awakened to that sad reality.
That is one reason I adamantly advocate truth.

* * society itself is mentally ill and the mentally ill have probably partially awakened to that sad reality. * *
That’s very similar to part of the “Wayseers Manifesto”. Society often DOES label as “mentally ill” those who differ in their thinking, so that society hides the fact of its own “mental-illness” behind it.
Safe travels…
Done with INSCOM?
Your not working those dogs too hard by any chance?
It is not about drought , it is about rights.

Don’t tell me that the most powerful country in the world cannot create an interconnected drink water system. If it can be done for energy and food why not for water.
Yea, then the Federal government can take it over and add their taxes on top of the others. There is a good reason why I moved out of town on a property where I have a well and septic tank and am far enough away from populations centers I won’t have to worry about such “improvements” in my life time. My objective when looking for a place out of town was to get away from city taxes and service fees for good but be where I could get natural gas so I didn’t have to deal with propane.
My property taxes are less than 1/2 of what they were when I lived in the city and I don’t pay for water & sewer beyond what is required for maintenance of the septic and well. My well is 88′ deep and has never dropped below 66′ head. It cost me $2,200 for a good submersible pump to replace the old siphon type and every few years I pay $250 for the septic tank to be pumped. My next objective is to put in a whole house back up generator that runs on natural gas.
If you pay a taxe it is not your property
Well you gotta pay for fire, schools, roads, and such somehow. I guess I’ll never actually own my property in the total sense. But I sure as hell know where to go to avoid the worst of the taxes and at $376.00 per year I guess I can swing that tax.
Every product you buy has VAT. If a government has not got enough income with only indirect taxes it means it has grown too big and too powerful and will be a threat for its population’s freedom.
Each state has it set up differently. In Indiana the counties and cities can use a property tax to get revenue. Consumption taxes are fine until there isn’t enough consumption to meet the expenses. Property taxes offer a more stable revenue stream.
I personally believe though that a the tax on a given property should end after 15 – 20 years. That way people will eventually fully own their property and the elderly who have paid for their home will not have that expense in retirement.

Good luck with the move. Lived in Colorado for 17 years. Still have family there and visit at least 4 to 5 times a year. Would like to meet you some day. -Meteorologist Brad Anderson
When I left Texas at age 19 for the military I said for years that Texas is a good place to be FROM. In recent decades Texas has been looking better all the time, even from Arizona.
When I left Maryland in 1973 at age 30, I said the same thing about Maryland. I have never changed my mind about Maryland. In fact, we visited the area last September and it only strengthened that feeling by the hour during that week. The politics and corruption are beyond belief.
Make sure to generate lots of CO2 to improve plants’ water-efficiency and drought-resistance. Use drip irrigation fed with soda-water?
Welcome back, Tony
There’s a gang of Real Science correspondents/commenters in northern CO, based on some of the remarks. We ought to find a way to get together for a beer some Summery day.
Past history indicates it is “extremely likely” that Summer WILL arrive this year
cheers
Sat hello to Trenberth for me when you get back, Tony.
Cheers
Raining again. Because global warming. Because science.
