The same scientists who failed to predict the rain in Texas, say that the rain is exactly what they predicted all along.

Gullibility appears to be the norm, when it comes to the Weather, Climate & Warming claims. It also reminds of the Pied Piper affect ; except, we have a brazen army of them, misleading society…

They might want to just listen to Stevie Ray.
Common sense! An attribute that must be absent in order for one to be an alarmist.
Yesterday here in central Indiana the forecast was for mostly sunny to partly cloudy skies with no precipitation predicted until late that night. At 14:12 I was putting on my shoes to go mow my acre of grass and it was looking threatening. Before I could get the mowers out it started raining. A pop up thunderstorm. Too wet to mow.
Yesterdays forecast for today was for some thunderstorms. It is mostly cloudy but there has been no precipitation so far and according to the radar all the rain is passing 90 miles or more north of my acre. In another hour or two the grass will be dry enough to mow and I think I’ll get er done.
The farmers in the corn belt have got to be loving it. Early this week I did a run to Trenton, MO in the north central part of the state. Saw corn sprouts in northern IL and MO already 6″ high. “Knee high by the 4th of July” went out the window long ago.
Reblogged this on John Hargrove’s Weblog.
In DC, they have closed the Government based on a six hour prediction of 10+ inches of snow, but instead we ended up with a half inch of snow on the grass, nothing on the roads.

there ‘ya go again
they’re not predicting weather
they’re predicting … climate
all Organians know this is two completely different things
The same witch doctors who failed to predict the rain in Texas, say that the rain is exactly what they predicted all along.
Fixed.
It is totally unscientific to claim that such changes can be predicted with any certainty. The only thing which is demonstrated by such claims is the unscientific attitude of the claimer.
North American Climate in CMIP5 Experiments: Part III: Assessment of Twenty-First-Century Projections: (Journal of Climate 2014, (Manuscript received 6 May 2013, in final form 22 November 2013):
“Projected changes are generally consistent with those previously published for CMIP3, although CMIP5 model projections differ importantly from those of CMIP3 in some aspects, including CMIP5 model agreement on increased central California precipitation. The paper also highlights uncertainties and limitations based on current results as priorities for further research. Although many projected changes in North American climate are consistent across CMIP5 models, substantial intermodel disagreement exists in other aspects. Areas of disagreement include projections of changes in snow water equivalent on a regional basis, summer Arctic sea ice extent, the magnitude and sign of regional precipitation changes, extreme heat events across the northern United States, and Atlantic and east Pacific tropical cyclone activity.”
NOAA knows what US weather will be like between 2080-2100 AD.
I’m impressed. ?

Climate prediction: the sign and magnitude of any changes are unknown. We’re certain.

Humans can’t predict the future, computers can’t predict the future….
Only the tax- office can predict the future (but I don’t count them as Human)…..
Cassandra predicted the future and no one believed her and everyone hated her for this. She did have the satisfaction of seeing everything happen exactly as she foretold, of course.
