Temperatures In Oklahoma have declined half a degree since 1895. The fraudsters at NOAA didn’t like the decline, so they simply made it disappear.
They accomplished this through a spectacular hockey stick of adjustments, which increases post 2000 temperatures by more than one degree, and decreases pre-2000 temperatures by as much as two degrees.
Hey Tony! As always, you make an indisputable point about the fraudulent adjustments. I do not think that any impartial person can fail to see the anti-scientific pattern of the data changers. So how will the CAGW people respond to this chart? They will say, “Well, yes, but you failed to mention the Time of Observation adjustment. Besides, some of those stations were changed or moved and THAT has to be adjusted for!” They will ignore the more obvious explanation — fraud — and continue to point to what should be minor adjustments with no major changes to the trend. The warmists are like the wife who sees her husband come home night after night stinking of alcohol and with lipstick on his shirt. “Oh, he hasn’t done anything wrong! he told me he was working late, and then he had another flat tire on the way home!” Night after night after night…
Yes. you are SO right. After all he is her’s and of course there can’t be a problem with him because that would imply a problem with her that she might have to face.
Likewise OUR government couldn’t be lying to US because if it were (and we were to admit it) then we would have to take some unpleasant actions inconsistent with our views of reality. For instance we might have to face that “OUR” government is not actually ours but we’ve become it’s property while it serves the interests of its actual oligarchic owners as their front-men. The climate lies are huge, but are a small part of the big picture.
“We’ll know our disinformation program is complete when everything the American public believes is false.” — William Casey, CIA Director, (first Reagan staff meeting 1981)
Facing this presents us with the unpleasant, expensive and dangerous task of re-establishing ownership.
“We’ll know our disinformation program is complete when everything the American public believes is false.” — William Casey CIA Director 1981
Barbara Honegger is the source of that quote.

Honneger is indeed the source for that quote. But I would guess that Casey himself is not. Barbara Honneger’s strange history in psychic phenomena, 9/11 conspiracies (including that no plane hit the Pentagon), UFOs and other matters makes me highly suspicious of her statements. She did make it to the White House for a while, attached to a man who became a Reagan advisor, but is a very … unusual person with many non-credible stories.

Hi Gail.
Not sure of your point.
I was aware of where the quote came from, and that no one ever denied it or offered further context. IMHO it is illustrative of the intel info fabrication/control mindset; certainly if taken seriously, but even if meant as a joke.
For for those wanting a little context on one area of disinfo at the time, one might recall the Russia/Afghan/CIA war. Major North as OBL contact, and later as star (as Colonel) in Iran-Contra. This was also the beginning of the so-called “war on drugs”, with the CIA exporting much of the Afghan opium in return for weapons supplied to the mujaheddin.
With that in mind one might posit that Reagan’s USA “war on drugs” began mainly to winnow the competition and raise the street price to support CIA profit. This continued under Bush, Clinton, Shrub and is ongoing..
Some have even posited that the timing of 9/11 and the second Afghan war was influenced by the need to rescue this profit center from the Taliban squeeze.

But that could be a coincidence!
Current involvement in the drug trade by all parties to the Afghan conflict is tacitly admitted but seldom elaborated on.
Former U.S. State Department Principal Deputy Assistant Secretary for the Bureau of International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs Thomas Schweich, in a New York Times article dated July 27, 2007, asserts that opium production is protected by the government of Hamid Karzai as well as by the Taliban, as all parties to political conflict in Afghanistan as well as criminals benefit from opium production, and, in Schweich’s opinion, the U.S. military turns a blind eye to opium production as not being central to its anti-terrorism mission.[26][27] In March 2010, NATO rejected Russian proposals for Afghan poppy spraying, citing concerns over income of Afghan people.[28] There have also been allegations of American and European involvement in Afghanistan’s drug trafficking with links to Taliban.[29]

This could be expanded in many ways but is already a bit far OT ATP
Can you supply the data and method for creating this graph? Thanks.
