Spectacular Climate Fraud From National Geographic

National Geographic just released this Arctic map, which shows about half as much ice as there actually is.

The real Arctic looks like this – about twice as much ice as the National Geographic Map.

The map below is the 1971 National Geographic ice map – which is nearly identical to the current state of the Arctic.

There seems to be no limit to the level of fraud which formerly respectable magazines will commit, in order to push the “climate change” agenda.

National Geographic acted mighty suspiciously in supporting Peary and denigrating Cook as who was first to the North Pole. BUt NatGeo sponsored Peary and it was in their interest to hide the evidence.

  2. wizzum says:

Well its about time, The NWP was too shallow and dangerous to be any use for major shipping, the NEP will be much better.

Now if we can just deal with that pesky ice reality….

  3. omanuel says:

Thank you, Steven, for having the courage to expose the deceit that now engulfs planet Earth disguised as “97%-Consensus Science!”

    • omanuel says:

Stalin’s international web of deceit – the invisible Orwellian Ministry of Consensus Science (UN)Truths – is now like a tar baby that sticks to and ultimately destroy all that embrace it.

National Geographic has long been one of the most admired, popular publications about our home planet. When Stalin’s international web of deceit finally collapses, the most prestigious scientific organizations and publications will go down with it.

Already the prestige of the Nobel Prize has been forever diminished from having been awarded to Al Gore and the UN’s IPCC.

In my mind anyhow, any media that decided to publish the unvarnished truth about the climate scam would get a tremendous boost in readership and a huge outpouring of public respect.

I eagerly awaited MSM jumping on Climategate 1.0 in 2009. They did nothing. For me, that was the tip-off as before then I really didn’t pay much attention to Al Gore’s global warming having been burned-out on immanent ice-age, alar, overpopulation, US insecticide use leading to nuclear war; in turn leading to nuclear winter; blah, blah, blah.

But Climategate revealed the raw fraud and collusion the so-called scientists were engaged in. A small group that had captivated a public (ends up the captivated public is also quite small if polls can be believed…) had manipulated data, perverted peer-review, and essentially abandoned science for money and political influence.

What a fabulous story! Interesting that no one in media is interested in researching it and telling it.

So now National Geographic is publishing pure, unadulterated lies. Why? The truth is so much more interesting. People will explain it as a grab for power and money. But there is plenty of money in the world and plenty of ways to get it without committing blatant fraud. For example, if Nat Geo came out with an edition that said climate skeptics have a lot of good points and here’s why; they’d sell out that edition and have to print more. The next edition, they have the climate “scientists” reply. Next edition, nothing but observations. Next the data and data manipulation. And so forth. Dude. They’d sell millions of magazines. Why aren’t they and any number of magazines doing this?

But it never happens. Weird, eery, and unexplainable. What has gone so terribly wrong with journalism? I don’t get it; I really don’t. This post-modern world is weirdly irrational in a way I simply cannot relate to.

I guess it’s one reason I keep up on it. I am interested in how this all plays out.

Cognitive dissonance. Many people cannot handle the internal conflict generated by two contradictory beliefs or ideas.

    • D. Self says:

All Socialists like to have a cause whether it’s true or not. They all jumped on the “Humans are killing the earth” Band Wagon. The ends justify the means. So it’s ok to lie for their good cause.

    • inMAGICn says:

Why does Hollywood continue to make political films that bomb?

    • Ernest Bush says:

Say, rather, they are publishing fantasy brought on by delusional thinking. Remember, you are commenting on religious beliefs even among some scientists. The rest, of course are freaking liars.

    • Snowleopard says:

@gregole: One possibility is that there is a major media editorial directorate overseen by the owners and run by the three letter outfits. ie.: propaganda before profit.

“We’ll know our disinformation program is complete when everything the American public believes is false.”
      – William Casey, CIA Director (from first Reagan staff meeting, 1981)

“The CIA owns everyone of any significance in the major media.”
      – William Colby, former CIA director

the chaps using the sea-ice cams and I found it interesting, he also is narked at the outright bullshit.
as are most people with any grasp of reality:-)

    • rah says:

Interesting article. A factual day to day matter of fact unbiased presentation of what is going in the arctic which is very unlike the cherry picking hype that a certain person that visits this site on occasion has shown.

  7. Ernest Bush says:

Its interesting reading this at a time I’m getting the impression that some of that sea ice over the NWP and Hudson Bay area is currently re-freezing. If that continues there will be deafening silence from the MSM.

    • Ernest Bush says:

I quit reading National Geographic some time ago because it started publishing more and more save-the-planet and global-warming nonsense. Green propaganda is sooooooo boring.

      • Snowleopard says:

I had a gift subscription to National Geographic that started when I was five and was to continue indefinitely. When the giver died, besides continuation of the subscription funded through a trust, I also received their complete collection of the magazine from its founding and I built custom shelving to hold this collection.

In the late nineties, mostly out of disgust, I cancelled the subscription and disposed of the collection as I was no longer willing to have it in my home.

  8. bit chilly says:

this would be a good time t get every single sceptic people know to contact national geographic and question them about this. 10 or 20 thousand emails a day in their inbox might wake them up to the fact people are not swallowing their rubbish.

these people get too easy a ride. i recently found out the blogger and then theres physics live fairly close to where i do. i may well knock on his door one day to ask him some uncomfortable questions about why the ice is not melting, why the divergence between co2 levels and surface temperature, why no increase in extreme weather events and why snow has not stopped falling in winter.
it may not change his position, but it will let him know that someone close by is willing to hold him to account for the utter rubbish he spouts.

  9. Dave N says:

I’m totally OK with alarmists who plan voyages into the Arctic using that map; they receive what they deserve.

  10. Climatism says:

Reblogged this on Climatism and commented:
“If the facts don’t fit the theory, change the facts.” – Albert Einstein

Dear Nat Geo, Albert was being sarcastic. He didn’t actually mean for you, NASA, NOAA, NCDC, BoM etc to adjust data to fit your theory.

  11. pigah says:

Way to really research something before deciding there is a conspiracy. If you go look at the link from National Geographic (http://news.nationalgeographic.com/2015/08/150803-arctic-ice-obama-climate-nation-science/) you’ll see that the map represents multiyear ice. This is ice that includes at least some ice that was frozen two or more years ago as opposed to ice that frozen the 2014-2015 year. The choice might seem arbitrary, but it suggests more permanent ice than the ice that just froze the winter before. This has been the standard way NGeo maps Arctic Ice, so it does form a solid (pun not intended) way to map ice.

You may want to correct your blog post if you are really interested in the truth rather than just getting points with people who want to believe that the world is not warming and there is a conspiracy to lie about these facts.
