Oh no! I don’t know about you but I am shivering in my boots! We better surrender the rest of our freedoms to the federal government before the birds, plants and puppies kill us in our beds!

    Oh my god!

A dandelion, off with its head!

I love it. We get mourning doves, cardinals, blue jays, red-bellied woodpeckers, downy and hairy woodpeckers, pileated woodpeckers, eastern bluebirds, bluejays, grackles, eastern grosbeaks, catbirds, goldfinches, house finches et al on our feeders. They all take off when a redtail hawk decides to land in the trees behind us looking for breakfast as we’re having ours–or when the squirrels show up! At night two great horned owls serenade us by our campfire. I assume they’re nesting in the boxes I built up on the hill.

    Great posts, Tony.

Scary stuff. Those terrifyingly blooming weeds choking the pristine fields really got to me…and I know this sounds far-fetched but can you even imagine if all those horrible flowering weeds were to somehow spread all over the world? I shudder.

Oh, and nice shots! Love it!

The grackle is giving you the evil eye.

I miss seeing the red-wing blackbirds while fishing. They don’t seem to be around here too much in the lower Susquehanna Valley.
