  1. Mervyn says:

The climate history of Planet Earth is one of natural climate variability to which carbon-based life-forms have adapted. The climate changes… always has.

Our solar system takes 250million years to go around our five spiral-arm galaxy. This plays a role in Earth’s climate regarding major glacial and inter-glacial periods.

Solar activity and galactic cosmic particles influence our climate, particularly in relation to cloud formation. A mere five percent change in Earth’s cloud cover significantly influences climate.

Ocean phenomena (e.g. the El Nino effect) also significantly influence climate, as does volcanic activity.

Humans cannot influence any of the above factors. Such factors have nothing to do with carbon dioxide (CO2) from human activity. CO2 is not even a meteorological parameter.

95 percent of atmospheric heat is attributed to water in the atmosphere. It effectively dwarfs the heat attributed to ‘greenhouse’ trace gases like CO2.

Yet climate alarmists promote the myth that reducing the amount of human activity CO2 can stop the climate changing.

These people are delusional. No common sense.

    (Nice video)

Every generation is convinced the end of the world is nigh, witness the flood of eco-doom themed films in the period of Silent Running.

    • Gator says:

Silent Running was one of my favorite sci-fi movies when I was younger, and I still love watching it on the rare occasion that it hits the airwaves.

3983 Days Left For The Planet; No it’s worse than you thought… it looks like we have less than 320 days left –
On 11th July 2019 The Prince of Wales warned global leaders that if we don’t tackle climate change in 18 months the human race will go extinct.

“I am firmly of the view that the next 18 months will decide our ability to keep climate change to survivable levels and to restore nature to the equilibrium we need for our survival.”

He must be right…he talks to plants & apparently they talk to him !! (:-))
