It’s Official – Viruses Don’t Affect Social Justice Warriors

Experts say mass gatherings of rioters and looters are vital to public health, and are not risky for COVID-19 transmission.

Open letter advocating for an anti-racist public health response to demonstrations against systemic injustice occurring during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Not at all clear who is circulating this mind-bending meaningless statement, but the usual social-justice suspects come to mind. It doesn’t matter.

Reading the extended text is like following the edge of a Moibus strip – around and around, never getting anywhere.

These folks are lost to the rational world

    • Gamecock says:

There isn’t the slightest hint of evidence that Chauvin’s pinning of Floyd was racial.

The black protestors’ tribalism isn’t going to do them any good. Their message is that blacks are different from other people. Blacks aren’t individuals; they are members of a group. Being different begets discrimination. As Frederick Douglass warned 165 years ago.

Protest police practice. Leave race out of it. Bringing race in is destructive. This isn’t going to end well for blacks. There will be zero investment in the riot areas for 10 years. Looting a Target means they will have NO grocery store for 10 years.

The cure for alleged racism in the U.S. is to stop talking about race. Anyone bringing it up is racist. Blacks need to transition into being people, and let the tribalism go.

I know. That is extremely unlikely to happen.

        Great comment, and absolutely correct.

      • Gator says:

Correct. Chauvin did nothing out of the ordinary. And maybe that was the problem, but it isn’t murder. Had he shown unusual concern over what are common complaints made by those who wish to escape capture, Floyd may have lived. I have seen this same knee on neck restraint used for decades, and as far as I know the only other time someone died while being so restrained was in 2016, Dallas Texas. Tony Timpa was a 32 year old white guy on drugs who resisted arrest, and died of a heart attack while in police custody.

These problems will continue until we are allowed to have an open and honest discussion about race and crime in this country. Telling one race to shut up will never be the answer.
