Sandy Is Sad

CNN reports that an Italian glacier is melting, and revealing WWI artifacts – and this makes Sandy sad.  Presumably she is sad that the glacier is melting.

The most likely explanation for what happened is that the glacier was smaller during WWI, expanded during the global cooling period of the 1970s, and is melting back again towards the position it was at during WWI.

In the November 1976 issue of National Geographic, they documented the rapid glacial retreat in the Alps during the first half of the 2oth century.

They documented that earth was very warm from 1910 to 1960.

They also documented how the sun controlled the climate.

The melting after WWII was global.  In 1923, Glacier National Park was melting so fast that experts predicted it would be ice-free by 1948.

In 1979, climatologists described the warm period from 1910-1960 as the “tropical age” – and said the extreme weather of the previous two decades was caused by global cooling.

“Drought, floods, the failure of monsoons and the run of hard winters are all evidence. they say, that the world has come to the end of a spell of even-tempered weather which began in about 1910 and lasted until about 1960. This period has even been called “a little tropical age” by one of the more quotable of climatologists. Professor Reid Bryson. What follows the tropics could be harder to live with — weather more typical of the 19th century or even of the “little Ice Age “which lasted between 1430 and 1850”

According to NASA, the cave was ice-free during the coldest years on record a century ago, but now is half filled with ice during the hottest years on record.

After WWI, the New York Times reported that earth had a fever.

“an intermittent fever, manifested in a world-wide heat wave of unusual length and intensity.”

Climate alarmism is based around ignorance, superstition, a lack of knowledge of history, and fraudulent temperature graphs from government agencies.

let’s suppose that some know that in fact billions of people are going to die due to an Ice Age, which is not uncommon. Were they just trying to organize the “chaos”?

  2. Davide says:

These findings, in the last years, are not rare in that region.
They find shacks, soldiers, and other things.
Here some example (in italian, I can give you more information if needed):

    From the last one:
“…ice melting brings continuos findings of dead bodies and objects from “vertical war” or “white war…”” (WWI)
It’s interesting because that battlefront was unique, at so high altitude.
It was also, as you know, a positional warfare, so soldiers (from Austria and Italy – now it’s almost all Italy) built a lot of fortifications (you can visit many of them, some galleries are impressive, in really beautiful locations), and really spent a lot of time there, to keep positions.

It’s sad, I want to hope, because it was sad for all these young people, fighting and killing each other, and living and working in so difficult conditions.
But now journalists can talk about global warming.
In a certain way, it’s better than when politicians sent people to fight war like WWI, even if I think it won’t end much better for victims of politicians and propaganda.

Looks like Heller needs to read up on his history, especially the White War during WWI:

“Entire villages of shacks were built, though officers generally lived in old mountain refuges, some outfitted with grand pianos and gramophones. On Marmolada, the highest mountain in the Dolomites, the Austrian Corps of Engineers built an entire ‘ice city’—a complex of tunnels, dormitories, and storerooms dug out of the bowels of the glacier.”

Virtue-signalling woke people can’t be simply “sad”.
They must be “sad at many levels”.
This shows-off how profoundly deep are their intellects and souls.

    Hi Tony,
did you know that the Pasterze is the largest glacier in Austria and Pasterze means “area suitable to pasture”?

Maybe you take a look on this video: Winter temperatures in the Alps 50 years. https://youtu.be/TFx6Af3ZaVc

I live in the Alps. Climatologists told us over 30 years ago that we wont have snow in the winters until the year 2000. Last winter we had record snowfall in Osttirol – the eastern part of the Tyrol. I have not received any information via email from Tony Heller recently???
