Net-Zero In China

“The world’s biggest coal producer and consumer mined 384.67m tonnes of the fossil fuel last month, easily topping its previous record of 370.84m tonnes set in November, after the government called for miners to work at maximum capacity to help fuel the country’s economic growth.”

The CCP doesn’t care about the people they command and control. It seems to me that they are ramping up coal production in preparation for a war.

    • Maybe, but they’re doing what we should be doing … providing economical and reliable energy to its people — using fossil fuels and nuclear. They can also read the tea leaves which show a long term cooling trend — in which wind and solar will be problematic … Once we get smart like China, then maybe we’ll be able to defend ourselves in wartime. Tanks and submarines don’t work very well using solar or wind.

      • Hans Bouman says:

John, thank you for your short clip and remark here. Fully concur. Time is overdue to start pushing back to the woke wind and solar hippies who are destroying the world and don’t even realise it!

    • Graham Millingtin says:

Why should they go to war. Because of Johnson and Biden and the other green idiots (probably in the pay of China) the Chinese are winning the peace.

    • Anon says:

That is logical thinking… if they don’t go for coal, they get put in the same binary position as Japan in 1941:

The Forgotten Reason Japan Attacked Pearl Harbor

Franklin D. Roosevelt had hoped that he could pressure Japan into accepting a diplomatic solution to the U.S. oil embargo. Instead, Japan found a military solution. Would any of America’s current enemies make the same choice?

    • arn says:

Even without war they need to ramp up coal production.

Remember all the american jobs Biden is shifting from your country to china?
These jobs need energy to perform.

You can not unleash a virus for your economical gain without having the energy supply to benefit from it.
(the war, btw,is going on for a long time, but not i a way most people are able to
      define as war)

    • Kelly Harbeson says:

They are also reportedly stockpiling foodstuffs as well. Looks like they are planning to win the next war.

I bet the go for Taiwan at the same time Putin goes for Ukraine.

  3. Peter Carroll says:

China’s record coal production. There is a topic for “discussion” at, COP 27, 28, 29,

  4. I believe the Chinese Politburo contains a high proportion of engineers. In Western governing assemblies, engineers are conspicuous by their absence. Perhaps there is a correlation.

  5. Mr Smith says:

China is driving the Climate Change lie, always has been, they worked out LONG ago how to subvert the West. They think decades ahead, the West just thinks about the next election.

  6. Daniel Smeal says:

Check the ‘made in’ labels on most of the ‘hard’ products you purchase at the store. If China decides to pull an embargo on the US, we are screwed. But then again, I guess so are they. We need someone back in DC that will ramp up our energy production and manufacturing sector. FJB
