The percentage of hospitalized COVID-19 patients in New South Wales which are double vaccinated is about the same as the percentage of the general population.

You wonder why the higher rate of unvaxd in the ICU, yet the huge death swing in the other direction. There are so many things that we don’t know. I heard that some hospitals have different protocols for the ICU unvaxd and vaxd. Unvaxd got monoclonal antibodies, and the vacd got remdesivir. Wow! If that is so, then no surprise. The biggest issue is why don’t doctors see trends and buck the system to change the approach accordingly? Throughout history there are examples of this single headed, emperor like ruling being destroyed by those who learn and adapt. Example, which I read in “Enemy at the Gate,” of why the Ottomans with a huge numeric superiority and possibly a technical superiority, being destroyed (when the Europeans finally got together)before the gates of Vienna. European military had distributed authority. If a general got killed, the next in line was prepared and capable of taking control. The Ottomans on the other hand put all authority in Tony Fauci, no I mean their supreme general (okay, same thing), and were decimated when the leader, either made bad decisions or became unable to execute decisions.
The NSW Government has just brought boosters forward to three months after the original double dose.
Which is exactly what you’d expect’d be needed from the Israeli and Swedish data.
But they all know that the people will not wear 3 or 4 boosters per year. Especially when the vaccine injury rates are so high, particularly from the booster.
You need to be careful with the death count. The number is small and cannot indicate correlation with any confidence. The best we can likely say is that it doesn’t appear to provide much protection from death over being unvaccinated.
The numbers also do not differentiate between those who went into hospital because they were sick from Covid and those who presented for some other reason but were later found to also have Covid, they also do not show that the vast majority of deaths are still in the elderly and/or those with serious comorbidities.
