The press makes claims like the one below about Greenland melting nearly every week. I can’t find a single glacier in Greenland which is receding dramatically and it is difficult to find any glaciers which are receding at all. That is why they rarely mention the names of any specific glaciers.
“The Greenlandic ice sheet is the second biggest body of ice in the world – and it is absolutely vital. If the entirety of this ice cap were to melt, global sea levels would rise by 7.2 metres. This ice is already being lost at a drastic rate, with surrounding glaciers receding dramatically.”
