It’s the fate of mankind — if he can’t see it he tends to doubt its veracity. Growing up and seeing old photographs of life before my own always left me somehow questioning whether this was really true, or was this simply someone’s interpretation of what happened. Even George Washington at times seemed somehow almost imaginary. Hence the absolute need for everyone to study history and science before gender studies and communications.
